Physical and behavioral traits that make a person more attractive within that culture become more common, be they natural or learned. Over time the culture will be dominated by the people who either naturally exhibit these traits or can be trained to exhibit them. Others will be cast out, ostracized or slain.

This is easily observed by lower class blacks who refer to studying, reading, planning, behaving, etc. as "acting white".

Yes, of course there are outliers, but the vast majority of any group is going to perpetuate the culture because they are incapable of doing otherwise.

As to if this is superior, that is subjective. It really depends on what you think makes for a better society.
