Hello Comrades. This general is for the discussion of Marxism-Leninism, the ideology of revolutionary socialism and communism.
Communism is the next stage of humanity following the capitalist stage.
What exactly is communism according to Marxist-Leninists:

>Communism in it's full form is a stateless, classless society that follows the maxim "From each according to their ability, to each according to their need."
>To achieve such a society Marxism-Leninism teaches us that we must replace the capitalist state, which is controlled by the capitalist class, by a socialist state, which is controlled by the working class. Then, a period of class struggle follows in which the capitalist class is liquidated by the working class. When the capitalist class has been completely vanquished, there will be only one class, the working class, and eventually the functions of the state will become indistinguishable from the functions of the society as a whole, and the state as such will 'wither away' as Marx said.

No sane man will:
1.Let a government tell him "you have enough, all you need, you don't need this, you can't look at that, you can't have firearms, you must limit the amount of XYZ you purchase etc.Yes even the US currently does this, which it should not.
2. No government body should have anywhere close to the power Communism, Marxist ideals, Socialism, etc gives them. They have the power to decide how much and what you can have, even if you try to hide a formal gov't and make it a "community" decision. That's still a form of governing. In order to ensure their laws are followed with distribution, they must have surveillance over the common wealth. Big brother is required for this, giving them control of privacy, and by extension, communication. Both of which cede more power than all the firearms in the world could stop. Absolute omniscience. The US govt' is sinking into this unfortunately, perhaps to rival the Soviet Union, or Britain.
3.Communism stunts growth because it says: "every man according to his need" which limits him to his bare essentials. Humans need competition and greed to push themselves like a race. They are not ants which only live to exist, they exist to thrive. Conquer, and compete. Even socialist policies cause reliance on a "Big daddy" government instead of themselves, or their neighbors. What use is there in going above and beyond if I already have enough? There's no motivation in Marxist ideals to leave the teat.
4. The common man is an idiot, they need not "seize the means of production" because they cannot maintain it.

No? The supply will stagnate and the demand will rise or fall (if it falls, so will supply) with the population. Resources are not the problem here, but rather the overpopulation, as seen in Africa.

Yes, they are limited. It is inevitable that dictatorships and the like will try to seize what they can at opportune times. Men must not allow this however. A government is only a group of individuals same as anyone else, with authority over the common man. Just as corruptible and prone to greed, self preservation. As seen in the world today, so insatiable is that hunger for relevance and power, they poison the world for it. Filling developed 1st word countries with the worst of the 3rd world, in hopes to change the demographics to a simpler, more controllable one. They are attempting to acquire all control of communication, the last bastion being the internet. This will silence any outward decent on a large scale. Schools are formed to teach obedience, that safety is better than freedom, that no one is better than anyone else. They stunt all passion and need to break from what is safe.
There must be no "absolute" government.
