It is shit advice. In Israel, where there are several knife attacks by Palestinians everyday, the advice is to mob the knife attacker immediately. They will go down quickly under the weight of numbers.

The reason the London attack was successful was because the attackers were able to pick off the weak ones who couldn't run fast enough.
