The main plot actually made no sense.

In the beginning the nurse explicitly states that the operations that took place were illegal in the US and Canada, yet they still had to escape the US for some reason. I guess you could assume that the corporation was so powerful that they could send out their mercenaries without interference from the government, but why would they not just use their influence to do the procedures in the US if that were the case? That or they were suggesting that the US government wouldn't protect the children because they were technically illegal immigrants and/or mutants.They never really stated an explanation for this.

There were a couple of things I didn't like about Logan, but the smuggling thing isn't necessarily it. The plot made sense. I didn't like how piss weak all of the kid mutants were (minus x23 who was super fucking op). Like. They were cloning powerful mutants for powers. Couldn't you get someone with anything useful.
