Why does the West believe that it can reform Islam? Only Muslims can reform Islam, and clearly Muslims have chosen never to reform. The question then becomes, 'how do we encourage Muslims to reform their religion?' Now that's a real question that ought to be asked.

Specifically, you have to financially control the religion to teach precepts that are kosher with Western religion, and license Imams to preach values that specifically teach coexistence.
