True, most things in life seemed like a mystery to me back in the late 80s when I left school, if you wanted to learn about something specific you'd have to know someone who could teach you or rely on limited & outdated information from library books, I think making the right choices in life is so much easier for young people now because they can research anything in great detail & learn from the experience of others instantly, I don't think most of them get just what an amazing opportunity that represents.
