Why are some people so adverse to it?

they can do this individually, we don't need to do it collectively.

How does imposing heavy taxes that we have no say in how they are spent "going green"
>>

Because being an ignorant fundamentalist with team colors is more important than scientific fact to the right. And the left can't stop overreacting to everything to make the needed progress either.
>>

There's nothing wrong with any of that. That's why we're already doing it.

It's co option by leftist extremist that want to attach Marxist principles to any agreement to implement it world wide.

the amount of available fossil fuels and their effect on the environment are misrepresented for the sake of "green companies" that cause more environmental damage than nuclear energy or even fossil fuel but ultimately benefit a handful of politicians and their buddies, effectively unimaginable amount of tax payer's money goes into making nothing
similar thing to what's happening with gmos, they aren't intrinsically bad, it's bad that a group of jews can exploit them to fuck whole countries over
>>

I actually understand Trump's logic very well.
When your currency value depends entirely on how dependant are other countries to oil, it makes no sense helping those countries leave oil behind.

Green doesn't include nuclear even though it's one of the safest and cheapest forms of energy that doesn't produce much waste.

"green" is bullshit designed to get you to pay money for the poor little pandas, they don't want to solve the issue, they just want to profit from it.
>>
>>128274053
Market forces have greened up the planet more in the last five years faster than any draconian global wealth distribution program ever could.
>>
>>128274706
Sounds like industrial capitalism. Oh wait it IS industrial capitalism you just described
>>
>>128274365
How do you get 3rd world nations to abandon cheaper methods of energy production? Every developed nation used oil and coal and now we're telling the rest of the world they shouldn't. Giving them an incentive to find different means while innovating new technology and selling it to them with the money we gave them is win-win. This is what we do with weapons all over the world. Why not with solar panels?
>>
>>128274053
Going green is OK, but subsidizing it before its manageable in the free market is a bad idea and dead-weight.
>>
>>128274053
Climate change isn't a hoax but it's used as an excuse to implement an international bureaucracy. Also environmentalists love to preach going green but they are huge hypocrites because they themselves use vehicles, electricity, and devices which contain heavy metals. Demand for energy created this mess and the only true solution is global nuclear winter or primitivism.
>>
>>128274706
>Green doesn't include nuclear
Never heard this before, why not? Because of the waste that no one has figured out what to do with?
>>
>>128274053
Low energy output.
Nuclear is better in every way and can power electric vehicles unlike green energy sources.
>>
>>128274783
I'm not against capitalism you idiot. I just want people who really want to fix global warming to stop falling for the panda propaganda. If they want to build windmills, let them, but people should know that it's not gonna do jack shit.
>>
>>128274971
Because it's scary and it would actually stop global warming which is bad for the green people because they wouldn't be able to profit from it.
And the waste is tiny compared to the waste building millions of solar panels would create, it can also be reused in other types of reactors, and by the time we run out of uranium, we can start importing it from mars or whatever.
>>
If we wanted to battle climate change we would build carbon reducution technology.
>>
>>128274912
There's a huge static cost with setting up an energy distribution network - pipelines, gas stations, refineries, electricity grids.

The sell is that once solar+storage comes down in price sufficiently, decentralised and small-municipal solar wins against large-scale generation. It's called the leapfrog effect, but we need to subsidise solar storage so it bootstraps to volumes where it becomes cost-competitive.
>>
>>128274053
>go green
>show down coal power plants
>replace them with wind and solar
>wind doesn't blow and sun doesn't shine

I hope your frozen goods were frozen good. I hope you don't mind energy intensive industry leaving your state. I hope you enjoy levying higher costs upon your citizens (consuming an ever larger chunk of the poors take home pay).

There is nothing wrong with going green. There is something wrong with forcing it and crippling your people and economy. When wind power because so good that coal seems useless the market will naturally switch. When electric cars are able to take a single detour without dying because you missed the charge station they will naturally take over.

The (((Climate Change))) agenda is basically yet another incarnation of the of the 'seize the means of production' communist theory. Enforce an artificial limitation as an effort to controls economic, industrial, and overall development.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Means_of_production

>INB4 But.. but... anon the weather is 1.7364782 degrees warmer than last year and my college professor said that the science is settled and (((CNN))) said that anyone who questions (((Climate Change))) is a "denier".

Seriously, if you want people to get on board with your (((scheme))) you are going to have to force all of Asia and Europe to self impose strict limitation and then we will still not get on board but rather be ahead. There is no real circumstance in which you will get any nation to self impose restrictions... even if everyone else pinky swears they will also.
>>
>>128275961
It does reduce world pollution by quite a significant amount though estimating that temperatures will drop by 0.3°C sounds tiny, it's huge compared to the 2°C+ rise expected. >>
>>128274053
The cost associated with it, my friend.
The USA has mostly been spared of this lunacy, but my country has not.

The cost of building a house is through the roof here, every year the regulations on insulation and energy savings get stricter. It's literally impossible to build a house here for under €100k. Meanwhile, my friend in Missouri built a house out of wood for $10k.

Add that to higher taxes on more powerful vehicles (on top of higher insurance), more taxes to pay for green energy, taxes on fuel, plastics, a "recycling" tax you pay when purchasing anything electronic, etc.

We're coming to the point where we are taxed so much that we can no longer afford to have children. At that point, why care about the future of the planet?

I'm not averse to it at all. I am only averse to large international treaties that accomplish nothing to fight global warming while funneling wealth out of the US. Actively creating an economic incentive for the developing world to pollute more is not a viable solution.

We will still reduce our emissions. Through technology, social pressure, and the grant programs of individual nations.

Going green is good, I want to go green. But apparently the only way to "go green" is to give shitskins and commies billions of dollars to take your industries and relocate them in China.

That's not really green, that's just global-scale gibs.

Basically the kikes want their oil money and they want to hurt whites and uplift browns. Somehow they found a way to do both of these things under the guise of environmentalism. There's a difference between going green and going (((green))). The best thing to do for the environment is to stop giving shitskins money, aid, and medicine. Let them remain small insignificant tribes in the jungle like they were before western intervention. You won't have to worry about any "carbon tax" from them when they're chucking spears in Africa. But liberals expect to give modern western amenities to 5 billion shistkins at the end of the century, and are gullible enough to think we can do it while reducing pollution.

Another great solution would be to stop giving China our money, because they don't give a single solitary fuck about keeping the world livable in the future. It's best to leave civilization in the hands of whites. We are the most capable of handling it responsibly.

You have no clue how expensive this country is do you?
So, there's around 50.4 million school aged kids in the US. They're in school for 180 days out of the year. It costed $2.68 to provide each kid lunch. That's a bit over 24 billion per year. Doubling that cost would see it at just a hair below 50 billion. We've taken care of 5% of that just by doubling what's paid for school lunches, a pretty goddamn cheap thing that by itself will eat up a trillion bucks in just 20 years. because its a fucking economic scam to move wealth from industry countries (read white countries) to developing countries (read shitskins and niggers)

They don't give a shit about the planet, just look at the "goals", all "industrialized" countries have to reduce emissions, chinks are allowed to increase it because they use different metrics.
Also they give a shit about the environment, they just force industries into third world shitholes where they don't have to obay to any environmental laws, they can just dump all the heavy metals, dioxins and other shit into the environment and nobody gives a shit that 1km down the stream only deformed niglets are born.
