This is pathetic, she called the election for nothing. Actually shot herself in the foot because Corbyn will come out strengthened from this.

Jim isn't wrong. Some of the cuts made by the Tories have been too severe and under reported by the media. There's people who lost their home and had to move too far away from their job or children's school. People who had their PIP cut and now stay indoor for most of the day completely reliant on carers. People are seriously suffering out there, this is why I think the polls are bullshitting. If you don't earn 80k in Britain, your living standards have gone down over the last 7 years, no exceptions. The Conservatives have zero appeal with the common people now.

If you say you can go grocery shopping for example they automatically consider you as not disabled.

Complete rubbish, I have an autist sibling and can tell you that this is completely false.

First of all he got ESA just from having the form filled in, didn't have to go an assessment at all, second he got PIP after a 3 month wait (which is standard), this is between him applying, being seen, and getting the money, they back pay it all of course.

18 months is a complete and utter lie, she's lying flat out.

Nurses have to ask about suicide attempts as it is technically a medical appointment and if she has put in the fucking form that she is suicidal and they don't ask then they will get sacked if she ends up killing herself.=

They didn't disregard the fact she was partially sighted, she walked out of the appointment. They do not consider you as not disabled if you can go shopping, the PIP assessment is broken up into 15 sections which are scored individually.

You are talking out of your arse m8.

why? why is it wrong to kill ten million people with a nuclear weapon? i mean clearly you dont think that murder is wrong, hence why you are recommending it as the right course of action in your example

what other immoral action should be corrected with murder? perhaps if i see someone smoking a joint or shooting up heroin i should blow their head off with a shotgun? after all they are behaving immorally and immoral behaviour should be stopped by "good men" as you said. whatever the hell a "good man" is anyway

Remember that 'murder' is a surprisingly specific term - in the eyes of Hitler, I'm sure he wasn't murdering but killing in self-defence and righteousness (yes that includes Jews and the 'undesirables' he deemed to be dragging everybody down). Committing a crime such as stealing is morally wrong. Even if it is life or death. Some men will never do it.
Your whole argument is flawed and the previous poster is somewhat correct.

People shouldn't be starving in the first place, but they do and are, right now. People fall through the cracks of the system and end up all kinds of fucked up. This is not a third world country, but there are small pockets of people living in conditions worse than one. I'm serious. I've seen it.

We should be there for our fellow country men and women who fall through these cracks and uplift them to a suitable standard of living. You are no patriot if you let your neighbour starve, or live in a constant fucked up state of affairs.

What happened to humanity? You can hold your "pull your socks up" beliefs and STILL be there for those people who require help. Not in a virtue signalling way, but in a "Fuck me, these cunts are actually struggling and I can help them" sort of way.

If I see an Englishman on the street, I don't fucking care how he got there. I don't care if he's on smack, or a criminal... He should be fucking helped to stand back up on his feet, and be placed into an environment with some form of support system. I'm very much "pull your socks up" too, but some people need fucking help, and that number is growing.

>Inb4 some fucking sheltered rich kid replies

People end up in bad situations, sometimes out of their control.
People (unironically) grew up with less "privilege" than you did.

How can some of you cunts be so hypocritical but still pretend to be upstanding and all for making/keeping (whichever you believe) this country great and strong?

All military powers and regimes are murderous and thereby monstrous, so why get in a huff? Note that only you are talking about small-scale murder, a concept completely distinct from government-sanctioned mass-killings (of which I am defending neither).

They are very in favour of Corbyn and Labour if that's what you mean. If he screws up, they will report on it but try to play it down. If May doesn't do something that's necessarily a screw up but more like dodge a question or keep free school meals for the poorest and everyone else has to pay, they will try to spin it as a massive failure from the Conservatives and a reason why you shouldn't vote for them.
They've also been questioned for their "carefully selected audiences" in debates and political shows.

Give me one good reason why someone should be absolved of their own bad choices? Because they 'need help'? Why should someone who squanders their own life on getting high be entitled to any care and aid? They clearly don't value their own lives highly enough to not pump themselves full of poison, why should I value it any more highly than they do?
I actually agree with most of what you say, but when someone has undeniably brought circumstances on themselves by their own failings of character I start to diverge.

BBC just follows whichever dog barks the loudest that day. For years it has been following the Tory/Blairite line that Corbyn is some sort of joke, but then this election happened and it slowly dawned on them that personally he is more popular than May and would make a better PM to weather the post Brexit storm and get us a better deal with the EU.

Trouble is they cottoned on to that a bit late so there are probably still too many people drinking Teresa May's Cool Aid for Labour to win the election outright.

People get on and off drugs all the time. People do smack because their life is already a fucking wreck. Heroin and all the "bad" drugs are painkillers. They are simply self medicating.

Now, you can either leave them to die (which they will, but not before probably getting into all sorts of trouble with the law first) or you can help them, in some way. It's all up to you, but you have to understand that it's not as simple as a DM headline.
It's not as simple as "Addicts? Pftt! Scum!"... it's a highly complex problem and just ignoring it does nothing. It's probably a growing problem too, but I don't have the statistics to say for sure.

Is the stirgeon """debate""" worth watching? The fucking audience is like 10 people.
>>
Where do brits get good news from?
Just read a german article saying tories are starting to panic a little bit.
Would like to confirm with local media, but even as somewhat of a leftist I recognize the guardian is pretty biased, and would like to see if you can recommend a better source

>I was talking about america
I know! That's the point!

You talk shit about America but you fail to realize that OUR navy ensures that you are able to ship goods overseas and protects your rights to do so.

No one in the history of mankind has ever been able to make that promise.

The white males on QT last night showed they're the ones who have destroyed this question. Care about Brexit, education, environment, the economy?

Nah the most important election topic is whether we would fire Trident at North Korea and if Corbyn spoke with the IRA 30 years ago. I used to care about immigration like you guys, not any more.
>>
>>128257910
No don't give that traitor your time.

Brit news is all pretty biased, except for BBC (and even that sometimes has a pretty obvious agenda, but they usually don't pick a side in Tory vs labour). I personally like the spectator and the telegraph.
>>
>>128257964
The Telegraph is moderately right wing, but reasonably reliable.

Those are important questions, though, especially since Corbyn won't answer them. All he had to do was say "if attacked, I would consider Trident as an option" and "I condemn the IRA", but instead he always dodged like an idiot. Even if he didn't mean what he was saying, the smart thing to do would be to make it a non-issue.

Jezza's support for the IRA and Hamas haven't really harmed him that much on their own but if you couple it with the whole Trident issue that was exposed last night, it paints a narrative that when the shit really hits the fan he wont have our back and even worse, may side with our enemies.

British polls are the worst in Western Europe, an average of 6% out.

If the polls are far apart the Tory voters won't bother showing up so they'll lose some marginal seats, they need the polls to be close so people panic at the prospect of a Labour government.

Corbyn could have acted like any neo-liberal politician from the beginning, playing up to the PMQs theatrics and spin. Using cliches and positioning themselves as "centre ground" pragmatists.

I was against him at first but quickly realised what he is doing is getting the British public to think about these issues themselves rather than lying to them.

I agree that these are important issues. People need to start questioning how off the rails the military industrial complex have became. No other politician would stick their neck out in both our countries.
