I've always met funnier men than women. I've also met a lot of women that take jokes either too seriously or out right jut don't get the joke.

One time I was at a party we were on the topic about how this person we knew tried to lose weight. Some said this person would put their finger in their mouth and puke. So I subtly made a joke about it. Well, one of the girls got all pissy and said "WOW, THAT'S NOT FUNNY, SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY SUFFER FROM THAT!!" I use all caps for a reason, because she actually screamed that. Now I look like a jackass. I get that my joke wasn't that funny, but why do women have to ruin everything? Even a sense of humor, like wtf.

Humor is a trait male humans learn to court females that they can't get through ordinary means. That's why fat guys tend to be funnier since they can't compete with physical appearance. This is also a reason why women tend to be not as funny as their men counterparts.
