Honestly, I pretty much never think about being single until someone reminds me of it.
For women, they get a lot out of relationships and if they can't get commitment from a high value man, they feel like other women have beaten them to it and that they didn't get their due or whatever. That's one of the thing making women picky, they need to impress their friends and society in general.
For men, relationships are kind of a burden. I mean, if you find someone nice, then that's awesome. You could make each others very happy. But otherwise, you're not missing out on much. Good relationships are hard to find for men despite not being very demanding. And when you get older and the libido dies down, then the motivation to put yourself through all of the associated BS also goes down. For the most part men never depended on women for their entertainment.

I moved to a college town in the middle of farmland. Found a church that has an incredible number of young people, lots of very attractive ladies. Anyway, in your case, there are a lot of solid in-shape guys looking for wives there, they usually find one before their mid-20s.

The key is: you can't just go to church service and expect to get anywhere. My sister did this for a few years with few results. You have to get involved in other activities where you can interact with men. My church has these weekly study groups and mine is focused just college age singles. If you don't have any churches like this around, look harder, or move to some place that does. But sometimes things don't work out like you expect.

My sister actually ended up meeting her fiance not at church, but thru a friend. Friend knew a guy at work and introduced them. He happened to go to a different church. He is very decent guy but would not have the confidence to cold approach people like my sister. I see many guys like that who have been shit on a lot in high school and college and are walking on eggshells around women they don't know. He is 27 and she is 29 (now 30).

Older women in the church can be a huge asset. Make friends with them and learn from them. Ignore the ones that try to control you or be way too judgemental. Look at their families as a judge of their character. These women absolutely LOVE to match up you with guys they know of in the church. I've found that good churches usually have 3-4 of these kinds of extrovert ladies.
