That's when you know this shit is a serious farce. Either humans CAN control the climate and in that case no taxes or levies can change the fact, or they CANNOT in which case blah blah etcetera.

Because the exist within a market economy, and so voluntary actions to reduce emissions do not have to be undertaken by competitors. As a result, companies that attempt to mitigate the cost of externalities will be at a competitive disadvantage and will lose market share. Markets are survival of the 'fittest', but in cases where externalities are present, the 'fittest' is not necessarily the most socially beneficial outcome. This is called a market failure and can be fixed with a pigouvian externality tax, in this case, a carbon tax.

Have fun riding with niggers and mudslimes.

To be honest, if I lived in a white-only country, I would happily use public transport. It was a joy to use in countries such as Poland and Slovakia when I visited Eastern Europe.

However, I would never use it in Western Europe or America unless all non-whites get disappeared or we go back to segregation.

Can't remember which country, but some country in South American ran out of coin change completely. All the coins just disappeared almost overnight and no one knew where they went. Citizens blamed mint for not minting enough, mint blamed citizens for losing... literally all of them.

Only people that had coins were public transport. Very suspicious. They were charging insanely inflated prices, giving coins to people in exchange for complete bills. Making insane profits.

While China is all "BUT THE CARBON" and fooling everyone into thinking they're doing something, they're still polluting their land heavily to the point that crops grown on it aren't edible and their water is so toxic now it has no use, not even industrial uses.

But remember, the only thing that is important is carbon dioxide which will take 5000+ years to have any actual effect on the climate at the current rate (unlike Chinas polluting of their land which will literally turn every single drop of water in China into toxic waste within 15 years and the entire country into an inhospitable wasteland by the end of the century).

The air pollution in China is so bad that the scales didn't actually go high enough to measure it. When companies tried to increase the scales to measure the air pollution and how bad it was, the Chinese government outlawed changes to the scale.

Pollution in China isn't dropping, it's just been made illegal to record pollution levels if they exceed a certain level.

This is how China operates. They lie and cheat about everything.

Per capita is a bullshit statistic and you already know it. How about a breakdown based on vehicles?
>United States 255 million vehicles, 321 million people
>China, 244 million vehicles, 1371 million people
USA has 4% more vehicles but 30% less pollution

Now run the same figure for factories, power plants, etc etc. Then do the same for every other entity in your statistic.
Then think about what you've done!
>>
>>128198245

The Paris agreement doesn't really do anything to stop climate change though. It's basically an economic agreement where the richest countries pay the poorest countries and in exchange they are allowed to continue polluting.

An agreement that was designed to fix things would actually focus on reducing pollution, not just say "you can pollute if you pay us".
>>
>>128196390
An externality tax isn't meant to do that, it's meant to shift preferences towards greener solutions using market mechanisms

That is kind of the point of pulling out of the agreement though isn't it? Not that we shouldn't continue to make progress, but if we're going to be held to a higher standard it really isn't very fair.

The price of diesel vehicles continues to increase because of the emissions equipment that is forced on us. Again, not that its a bad thing, but the cost of a vehicle increases significantly because of particulate filters, "diesel fluid," diesel oxidation catalysts, more complex turbochargers, more complex injectors, EGR, PCV, etc.

We have to reduce our output X% after everything we've already done, meanwhile the chinese, mexicans, south americans, etc are running their diesels without many or any of the emissions equipment we use. It would be very inexpensive for 3rd world countries to implement just a fraction of the emissions equipment we have to lower their CO2 output.

Land mass dude.
I realize its hard to fathom coming from where you are. Your entire world is slightly larger than just the State of California while your GDP is only 20%.
There is a lot of space in this country. If we were building mass transit for just one state it would be much easier. We're pretty spread out here.
>the u.s. isn't automatically exempt from the effects of global warming just because you lot left the paris agreement
Tell me more about what Sweden is doing to help combat global warming. Tell me how you are doing more? Tell me the world hasn't learned most of what it knows about curbing CO2 emissions from this country. Please educate us and tell us why it is we need you or anyone else for help.
