Yeah the Tory manifesto was garbage. The old people stuff was dumb, fox hunting is a non-issue, which bringing up can do nothing but lose votes and the Internet snooping thing is gonna be done regardless by both sides so why even mention it?

But the alternative is Corbyn, propped up by the SNP and the rest of that SJW, fake liberal rabble. And don't forget who's waiting in the shadows, ready to swoop in as soon as they manage to get rid of the leader at the first opportunity.

Ask yourself - do you really want this cabinet:
- Leader: Corbyn (for now...)
- Deputy: Cranky
- Home Secritary: Farron
- Chancellor: Abbott
- Environment & Culture Secritary: Bennett

Not to mention Eagle waiting to crack down even more on the Internet and Harman ready to cut all our dicks off.

Probably laying low to avoid us mocking them as they are now being ruled by a gay Pajeet.

I've just got off the phone to a friend in Wales who is running a campaign in North Wales, he said he doesn't understand the polls as the word on the ground is pretty good. Lots of Tory candidates standing in safe Labour seats over 8000 are getting positive messages on the doorsteps.

There will be a massive enquiry again about the polling again and how Momentum infiltrated them.

>In 1996, the Guardian wrote this about Jeremy Corbyn in a blistering leader column:

>“Every few years, the London Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn indulges his romantic support for Irish republicans by using his parliamentary privileges to give them a publicity platform. These occasions always also provide a showcase for Mr Corbyn’s abiding qualities: his lack of wider political and moral judgment, his predilection for gesture politics, his insensitivity to the feelings of most Londoners and his indifference to the policies of his party… Mr Corbyn’s actions do not advance the cause of peace in Northern Ireland and are not seriously intended to do so. It is surprising that a politician as clever and important as the Sinn Fein leader should be bothered with him. Grown-up people ought to keep this childish sideshow in perspective. Mr Corbyn is a fool, and a fool whom the Labour Party would probably be better off without.”

I hate that we have this culture of voting as something required, like a "duty". It means that every General Election, millions of mouthbreathing retards take 10 seconds to vote for the person they feeeel is the best choice, always with massive amounts of influence from the mainstream press and the BBC. These people simply should not vote. It's a travesty that they inflict their thoughtless brainfart ignorance onto everyone else, just because someone convinced them it's important to vote

I'm hoping that the polls are following the same trends as for Brexit and Trump - basically where they're wrong.
I wouldn't be surprised if there were a lot of closet Tory voters - especially among the younger people. If you're a Uni student and you openly show that you're voting Conservative, you're quickly going to be shat on by a bunch of other students claiming that May is the devil incarnate.

I've read both, and besides the horrendous layout of the pdf, my issue with Labor's manifesto is that they seem to want to do a lot of costly things but lack explanations on how they plan on getting the money for it.
When they said they've "balanced the books" and got a plan of how to fund it all, I can't help but think they've got Diane Abbott in their accounting department.

Every single bill that becomes an act requires royal assent. She has to accept any new law before it becomes law.

In practice royal assent hasn't been withheld in over 300 years and the monarch hasn't even signed it in person since Queen Victoria. The future of the monarchy is already unclear, to upset a 300 year precedent would likely see a growth in republicanism. This is also the reason she tries to maintain an a poltical public image.

From the BBC, no mention of the race which is a key identifier

Police have released CCTV footage of the moment a woman was led away by three men before she was raped in central London.
The 34-year-old had left her friends after a night out in Covent Garden on 20 March when she was approached by three men in Greek Street.
One of the men took her by the hand while the others followed behind as she was led to Slingsby Place and attacked by at least two of them.
Scotland Yard called it "a terrifying ordeal" for the victim and have appealed for anybody who recognises the men to contact them.

What do Conservative politicians even do anyway? Most just lobby for their millionaire interests and little else. Truly the definition of "career" politician.

People call Corbyn a protester but that's one of the best qualities a politician can have. He has been frustrated by the establishment for 30 years and is now demonstrating that he has spent that time observing and learning. He is clearly using the same tricks and outmaneuvering the Tories.

Osbourne and Cameron had purpose but they ultimately did more harm than good with austerity in a time of low interest rates and fucked the country with Brexit.
>>
>>128169301
Shy Tory phenomenon doesn't refer exclusive to Tory voters, it's just using the example of John Major's victory. The phenomenon can refer to any unpopular opinion at the time, Corbyn for example is very unpopular with traditional working class so some in that demographic who do support him may keep quiet in order to avoid confrontation. In that case a labour voter would be a shy "tory".

Corbyn has the:
>student vote
>youth vote
>poor people vote
>woman vote
>parent with young children vote
>public transport commuter vote

Theresa May has the:
>pensioner vote
And even still, a good chunk of them will abandon her after she ditched the triple lock and introduced dementia tax into the manifesto.

Can someone please explain to me why Tories still think they can win?

Neither manifesto actually matters. Has any UK government ever actually acted on their promises? Just look at the track record of the party. The manifesto is an advert, nothing more and the Tory's was a crap and very misjudged one. As for Corbyn, I actually respect the man and under other circumstances may consider voting for him, but with the Labour party behind him - not a chance.

>>128166460
Foxes really aren't a big deal unless you are REALLY shit at keeping your property safe and hunting is a rubbish way of doing so anyway.

The reason people don't like it is it's needlessly cruel. Shooting them or poisoning them is much easier and effective. Or just build some better sheds for your foul.

But the thing is, the whole issue doesn't matter because rich people still do it anyway regardless of the law and they will vote Tory regardless of the law. It was literally throwing away a whole bunch of votes for nothing.
>>
>>128171669
possibly, but labour have the for the lols vote, the young vote, maybe 10% of the pensioner vote, 40% of the rest. When yougov did that (full of explanations it wasn't accurate due to small sample size) calcualtion fo vote to constituency labour are close to hung parliamnet.

Maybe, more efficient though. And perception is that a violent death is more cruel.

Personally I am against fox hunting because they are cute, I'm happy to admit that.

My point here though is that it was pointless to mention it in the manifesto. She could have not mentioned it and not lost those votes.

Along with the whole social care debacle. Either she is incompetent or it's part of the plan to derail brexit. That was my firs tthought upon hearing of the election -- it's an unnecessary risk.
That said, occam's razor says she is just a fuck up, as she has always appeared to be.
>>
>>128171311
If Brexit is actually reversed it will be the biggest indictment of the current political system ever. The EU forcing Ireland to vote again after pieing then the first time (Lisbon treaty) is current holder in my eyes.

Fortunately however Corbyn doesnt want to remain in the EU so either way it's unlikely to happen.
