So I get home, after 3 hours I got massive pain attack and started puking all over. Went back to the hospital, waited another hour in the waiting room. So now I'm home, with the stone still inside me, shredding my fucking insides, but atleast I have MORE morphine. I never did get any actual treatment.

Paramedic here. 99% of our interfacility transports are geriatric. At that point they *usually* have something wrong, but still see a lot of bullshit too. The biggest drain though is dialysis patients. Those who had problems such as an infarction, or kidney failure secondary to cancer or shock I don't mind. It's not theIr fault. The invariably have a triad of renal failure, hypertension, and diabetes. They are fat. They spent years not listening to there doctor to lose weight or controlled blood pressure or sugar levels, result in a slow progression of kidney failure. And now they act like there's a chip on there shoulder because boohoo dialysis is just the worst thing ever. One of them has gone as far as to ask us to wash his ass in the back of dialysis, and ordered us to take him back to the nursing home when we didn't. Just generally all pieces ofnshit.
This drives Healthcare up so bad, that after I went to the ER following a sore throat (symptom of a life threatening condition from the medication I started taking the day before the sore throat) the doctor walked in, spent too seconds looking in my mouth and said :yout dont have Stevens Johnsons have a nice day. I was in an ER with my sick mother, 1 AM in the middle of the week. Place is swarming with Mexicans, Spanish speaking whatevers.

Woman with three little kids is there to get them checkups - in the middle of the night. When nurse objected, mama coached them to say they had headaches and sore throats. Have no idea what that was all about. This was in Las Vegas.

Last time I went to an ER was when my grandfather fell and broke his hip. We had to wait 4 hours until 2:00 am. The man was 92 years for fucks sake. Of course there were bums and hobos. One took a dump in the middle of the waiting room. Then at around 2:30 am while they were taking care of him the cops brought a nigger in cuffs. All the stereotypes are true kek.

I had a Ukrainian Ex pull that when I was out on a trip visiting my parents. She passed up the Urgent Care clinic and went straight to the emergency room for an ear infection and racked up $1000 medical bill, then they sent her home with I think it was tylenol. Such a dumbass.

So, so much this. Had to take my girl to urgent care overnight and the lobby was full of them. They tended to fall into some combination of drunk, hung over, high, trying to get high, belligerent, or just trying to stay the night indoors because literally every homeless shelter in town had already kicked their ass out and the hospital was the last place for them to go. Highlights included:

> A hapless white social worker trying and failing to convice them that we are all "treaty people"
> At least two people passing the fuck out
> A rainbow coalition of Canadians from every other ethnicity simultaneously trying to get as far from the natives as possible
