1. It will reduce carbon emissions and slow down global the process of global warming, which at the very least will make it less catastrophic.

2. It will make countries move from non-renewable energy to renewable energy, which is something that has to happen aniway. but we need to make it happen sooner rather than later.

3. It's going to boost the US economy because there will be investments in a completely fresh industry

Honestly this 3 "bullet points" are enough buddy

According to a study which covered 80 different countries who are making a transition to green energy, there is a link of causality between transitioning to green energy and economic growth:

Have fun reading the PDF of the study:
https://www.econjournals.com/index.php/ijeep/article/download/879/515

"The interdependence between renewable energy consumption and economic growth suggests that this type of energy source is important for economic growth and likewise economic growth encourages the use of more renewable energy source. The presence of causality provides an avenue to continue the use of government policies that enhance the development of the renewable energy sector."

Even the chart you gave shows that it's a factor.

Btw, i forgot to say something:
The problem with CO2 emissions is not just global warming, its also the acidification of the oceans. atmospheric CO2 is being absorbed by the water leading to the oceans becoming more acidic, which threatens to completely ruin the oceanic eco-systems.

This little fun experiment will show you how CO2 is making water more acidic:

Let me tell you, even if I were to believe that climate change was a terrible apocalyptic threat to the future of "humanity" I would still not want to do anything about it. In fact I would be more adamant about not doing anything. Because the future that the western neoliberal elites are creating is one where niggers and mongrels will inherit our cities and homes and I would much rather prefer an apocalyptic end to such a disgusting future than do anything to stop it. If the white race perishes, I would rather take all life on earth with me.

But alas, I seriously doubt climate change will do anything but create minor issues here and there. Additionally I think that the pace at which we will be able to tackle those problems will grow much faster than the pace at which those problems will arise.

>1. It will reduce carbon emissions and slow down global the process of global warming, which at the very least will make it less catastrophic.
As the amount of carbon emissions increases, the amount of plant life flourishes, which increases the amount of oxygen. Also, over 90% of carbon emissions are absorbed into the oceans and used by algae. It's a self-correcting system. None of the global warming predictions have ever been accurate as a result.
>2. It will make countries move from non-renewable energy to renewable energy, which is something that has to happen aniway. but we need to make it happen sooner rather than later.
Countries will always choose the path of least resistance. When it becomes financially plausible and beneficial, it will happen. No need to destroy economies with a sudden, pointless change.

11 out of the 12 warmest years on record have been in this century, the scientific community as a whole was right when they said the earth is warming

Your entire argument is a giant strawman. there was more than one model trying to predict how fast global warming is going to be, of course some models are going to be more off the mark than others. that's science for ya

The temperature naturally cycles. Was the ice age man-made?

>Your entire argument is a giant strawman. there was more than one model trying to predict how fast global warming is going to be, of course some models are going to be more off the mark than others. that's science for ya
Indeed, there are more than one model. Some models refute the idea of man-made global warming altogether.

Global warming alarmists and their allies in the liberal media have been caught doctoring the results of a widely cited paper asserting there is a 97-percent scientific consensus regarding human-caused global warming. After taking a closer look at the paper, investigative journalists report the authorsā€™ claims of a 97-pecent consensus relied on the authors misclassifying the papers of some of the worldā€™s most prominent global warming skeptics. At the same time, the authors deliberately presented a meaningless survey question so they could twist the responses to fit their own preconceived global warming alarmism.

Exposed: How world leaders were duped into investing billions over manipulated global warming data

The Mail on Sunday can reveal a landmark paper exaggerated global warming
It was rushed through and timed to influence the Paris agreement on climate change
Americaā€™s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration broke its own rules
The report claimed the pause in global warming never existed, but it was based on misleading, ā€˜unverifiedā€™ data

It's not just a talking point, its the fucking truth.

Your initial argument was: "scientists were wrong about the predictions of global warming", but you completely ignore the fact there were plenty of models trying to predict the rate of warming, and not all of them show the same rate.

There is a consensus that global warming is man-made but there are different models on how fast the change is happening

MYTH 1: Global temperatures are rising at a rapid, unprecedented rate.

FACT: The HadCRUT3 surface temperature index, produced by the Hadley Centre of the UK Met Office and the Climate Research Unit of the University of East Anglia, shows warming to 1878, cooling to 1911, warming to 1941, cooling to 1964, warming to 1998 and cooling through 2011. The warming rate from 1964 to 1998 was the same as the previous warming from 1911 to 1941. Satellites, weather balloons and ground stations all show cooling since 2001. The mild warming of 0.6 to 0.8 C over the 20th century is well within the natural variations recorded in the last millennium. The ground station network suffers from an uneven distribution across the globe; the stations are preferentially located in growing urban and industrial areas ("heat islands"), which show substantially higher readings than adjacent rural areas ("land use effects"). Two science teams have shown that correcting the surface temperature record for the effects of urban development would reduce the reported warming trend over land from 1980 by half. See here.

There has been no catastrophic warming recorded.

International agreements don't help the environment when globalization and making shithole 3rd world countries have massive population growth which results in increased pollution. Green energy funds governments start are mostly scams same with any type of private energy subsidy. And really, if it was due to the natural process, we AS A SPECIES have to do everything we can to soften it. The more time we can buy, the more probable it is that we can develop technology to counteract the changes.

For some reason nobody on /pol/ undestands this and thinks that it's a good idea to take a step towards doom even if we know shit about stuff.

Debatable, but even if true, it's still irrelevant. The temperature is rising globally and every shithole of a country is reporting on record temperatures. That means we have to do something to stabilize the climate, because the current conditions sustain human life. If you think that destabilizing the planet's atmosphere with gases that are not supposed to be there help the stability, you have to be simple minded. It might not do any good to start using emitions-free energy, but it sure as fuck won't cause any harm. I really don't understand what's so fucking hard to get here.
