It is not necessary. I consider myself a Dem and am very critical of Trump, but if he has done one thing right is pulling out of the Paris agreement, in reality it did nothing and allowed developing countries special privileges where they can change their standards as they will.

If you really are for the environment then you should be against the Euro money grab that is the Paris Accord.
The best thing we can do is to continue to be a environmentally responsible country and set an example on how to accomplish it. Trump pulling out can show to the rest of the world that you don't have to bend the knee to the demands of socialist power blocs. Every country should pull out of the Paris deal.

Listen to Styx. If climate change is man-made, then we would have to go carbon negative (immediately) in order to even have a chance of saving the environment. And even if the entire West did so, 2 billion people in China and India would still be pumping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The entire world going carbon negative would involve mass starvation and a huge death toll. Governments would have to completely abolish industry. And that's what governments want to do. Climate change is a political issue because it justifies global governance, international taxation and economic intervention.

We've been able to make melt down free thorium reactors with no need to enrich fissile material or store waste since the 1950's. Only reason we didn't start with thorium is that the military used uranium reactors to build nukes.
