Capitalism has some to do with it. It's hyper-capitalism at this point. Culture is being manipulated for profit and to concentrate power. Dating sites/apps companies are managing to commodify sex/relationships somewhat. It's changing the way people threat each others. A lot of social/interpersonal needs are being fulfilled by the Internet but it leads to a lot of dissatisfaction and loneliness. Which companies will want to solve with products.
Replacing each others with robots only make sense for a people that already objectify each others and/or where many are completely alienated.
