It was a joke. For anyone with half a brain it's obvious that "covefe" was a typo for "coverage". The fact that a journalist had to shitpost irl "what did he mean by this?" to Spicer and the huge media covefe that resulted means that there is only a small group of people who realized it was a typo and were able to discern the meaning from context.
