I remember when all of the suburbs in my city had unique histories and cultures, people would live their whole life in one place without leaving, we'd band together and pick on the surrounding suburbs or compete with them. Properties were built around historical landmarks, roads and paths.

In the past 20 years this has rapidly changed with the flooding in of immigrants and the governments' plans to further accommodate the newcomers, 14 NEW suburbs have just been announced and older suburbs are being expanded/built upon with the intention of cramming as many people in as possible. The new suburbs entirely housing (you get a choice of 3 designs), one shopping hub and that's it, no parks or anything.

There is no culture anymore, the original residents are moving out to the country til the same thing happens there.

Perfectly manicured parks and lakes everywhere, clean houses with nice varied designs (still keeping an aesthetic though), schools and services built in, boat ramps nearby, heaps of nice shops right near the suburbs.
