Seems to me that American ideals and beliefs have been very polarized these past few years(obviously). But what's interesting about this is that many of us believe in our causes very deeply and passionately and sometimes even believing the other side to be pure evil and disastrous for the future of our Union. But in spite of all this, no one is really up in arms, other than a few loonies, about this because in doing so would spell out disaster for the integrity and security of our lives, our families, our livelihoods, and our Nation. So I know that many of you aren't really respectable to each others faction at times, but have extremely good points to make even if they're considered propaganda/fakenews/conspiracies by the other side. Do you all think that if the other side just calmed their rhetoric down a bit, and start talking about the issues and try to explain to the other side their stance and why they believe in it a bit more realistically, and calmly with out having to resort to bullshit tactics just to appear as winning the argument, and actually listen to the counter argument and offer real, constructive criticism plus acknowledge good points in the counter arguments that can maybe worked into some sort of compromise that we would be able to relieve this stressful anxiety that is plaguing us? Or perhaps do you think this constant, yet intense tug-of-war will continue forever until something snaps and breaks and our country will be plunged into a hot war and/or collapses into something unrecognizable in the end? Intended for Genuine responses, hopefully from both sides, and hoping even more for a civil discussion with real language and not regular old kek memage (this is 4chan so shiiiiiet)

I think the chasm is too wide to bridge at this point.

What would be your main issue with which side?

Marxists, communists, and socialists fundamentally disdain the founding principles of the US. These philosophies are antithetical to limited government, the rule of law, and natural rights. They are, by their very nature, subversive with the goal of dissolving what we are and transforming our society into something fundamentally different. How can one bridge this gap?

I wouldn't say Marxists and Communists are that prevalent in the US, however it is suspected that socialism is on the rise here. Socialists seem to want to have their government have greater influence in their lives, such as in healthcare, education, and regulatory bureacracies. They seem to feel that since America had risen to one of the greatest thrones this Earth has seen, some more privileges should be expected.

I just find it easier to hate everyone that isn't me.
No need for "debate" or "talk".
Life's easier that way.

But the problem is that stuff costs big bucks, could feel invasive, and it kinda obstructs free-enterprise at times. But in return, you get vastly cheaper health care, more affordable education, and maybe safer public areas. Picking the socialist option sounds more enticing, but all that shit is kinda shadey.
