Can't believe this timeline. Corbyn really does have a good chance.

We don't have a guy in this race. There is one despicable commie we absolutely must keep out of power, unfortunately the only way to do that is to vote Conservative.

However, due to the way the FPTP system works, people in seats where Conservatives cannot win can still help out. If it's a race between Lib Dems and Labour in your constituency then you fucking vote Lib Dem. Lib Dems obviously won't get a majority, but it would mean one less Labour seat so that counts as a win.

>>127898955

What shill company are you working for?

https://fullfact.org/europe/uk-eu-trade/

And I quote:

>The value of trade to the UK and the rest of the EU—we exported about £230 billion worth of goods and services to the rest of the EU in 2015, according to UK data, while the rest of the EU exported somewhere around £290 billion to us. These figures differ if you use EU data. What this means is that the rest of the EU sells more to us than we sell to it.

>The value of that trade to the UK and other EU countries’ economies—exports to the rest of the EU are worth about 13% of the UK’s economy, and exports from other EU countries to the UK are worth about 3-4% of the value of those countries’ economies taken as a whole.

The important factor there is "TAKEN AS A WHOLE", which is not how the EU works as much as it wishes it did.
>>
>>127894364

>which we pay interest on

Put it like this. When brexit happens. If the Bank of England put £5k in everyones bank account, I wouldn't be surprised.
>>
>>127901954
This.

They won't turn up on the day and vote. I know people who voted Leave the EU who are actually flying back from the US just so they can make sure their vote gets done.

For anyone who voted out the EU, this is a brexit election. Corbyn tried to strawman it into a whole lot of other shit but traditional labour voters who voted out won't back him, forget it. Everything else is just utterly irrelevant in terms of numbers. People knew when she called it which way they'll vote. That won't change at all with any likely swings coming from Remain if anything. It's not a coincidence that the EU is being very, very quiet at the moment. They know every time they open their mouths, it just galvanises Leave even more. It'll be a landslide.

we live in a multi-ethnic society. certain ethnic groups are far more likely to rely on welfare, so is it fair that other, more hardworking and/or smarter ethnic groups pay more in taxes to fund the ethnic groups that use more than their fair share of welfare?

is it fair as well to allow migration from countries whose ethnicity are going to, in the long run, take an unfair share of welfare?

everyone in this country has the opportunity to increase their skillset and knowledge to increase their own employability or start their own business (except many muslim wives who don't learn english).

equal opportunity is a great princple. equal outcome is unrealistic and only (eventually) leads to communism, which has been the biggest shitshow in the history of this planet in the short time it's been in existence.

Tras su manto de neblinas,
no las hemos de olvidar.

"¡Las Malvinas, Argentinas!",
clama el viento y ruge el mar.

Ni de aquellos horizontes

pues su blanco está en los montes
y en su azul se tiñe el mar.

¡Por ausente, por vencido
bajo extraño pabellón,
ningún suelo más querido;
de la patria en la extensión!

¿Quién nos habla aquí de olvido,
de renuncia, de perdón? ...
¡Ningún suelo más querido,
de la patria en la extensión.

¡Rompa el manto de neblinas,
como un sol, nuestro ideal :
"Las Malvinas, Argentinas
en dominio ya inmortal"!

Y ante el sol de nuestro emblema,
pura, nítida y triunfal,
brille ¡oh Patria!, en tu diadema
la perdida perla austral.

Coro
¡Para honor de nuestro emblema
para orgullo nacional,
brille ¡oh Patria!, en tu diadema
la pérdida perla austral.

>>127909377
This is a good point too, and that illuminates the divide which existed in Labour long before Jezza. They are split between the London bourgeoisie who voted to remain and the old guard who voted to leave. One faction is liberal in the modern and cosmopolitan sense, and the other is socialist in the traditional, national sense. If Labour don't do the right thing and adjust their immigration policies, they're dead. Simple as. Thank god Jezza is a secret leave voter and persuaded the party early on to accept the vote and move on. Those fucking lib dems are pathetic to watch at this point.

Corbyn is objectively the best choice for your government.

The only thing I'm worried about for you, is that his plan to increase corporation tax to 26%, is a questionable decision.

Many businesses already invested in the UK will simply pack up and leave, as well as ones abroad planning to move to the UK, also it seems a bit rough on smaller, independant industry.

Granted you will gain a bit of money in the short term, however long term you will lose out.

>inb4 LUL POTATO TAX HAVEN

- Hitting 1.2m people earning over £80,000 with rises in income tax.

- Bringing the threshold for the 45p rate of income tax down from £150,000 to £80,000.

- A new 50p tax will hit all those earning over £123,000.\

- Extra powers for HMRC to chase individuals and companies who avoid tax.

All fairly plausible policies, especially his points on removing tuition fees and enforcing worker rights.

Yeah, I vote Labour but respect UKIP for telling the truth about immigration and not spouting "multiculturalism is wonderful" lies.

Brexit happened for a reason but all these out of touch politicians still don't get it. Britain first, refugees last.

26% ain't that bad. It would still be consistently lower than what it was during the early 2000's.

The question is simple, does the economy guide a country, its government and its people or is it managed by the countries government in order to serve its people. Neonliberalism is a DISEASE. The core at all that is rotten in this modern world. Yes it degenerates cultures and nations through hyper-individualism and deconstruction of traditional life, institutions and family. But it also creates a race to the bottom which makes a nation hostage to the whims of multinational corporations. These are the biggest threats to sovereignty. Where states used to be the largest global economies, they are now being replaced by multinational corporations. To allow such wealth-concentration in such a few hands where transparency often is completely absent is dangerous. Marx always foresaw that his dialectic of historic materialism would be resolved when distribution was perfected by the proletariat and the state subsequently could be abolished. Today, ironically, we are seeing the abolishment of states (and with that the nations which they comprise), by private enterprises through the concentration of unfathomable levels of wealth and capital.

why do pro-immigration politicians always respond to overpopulation in 30 years time, streching public services, need of dozens of new cities the size of newcastle, low wages due to over supply of workforce arguments against immigration...with "STOP DEMONIZING IMMIGRANTS YOU RACISTS".

theres a book recommended by the green party called "Prosperity without Growth" as if its the bible of how to run an economy and society within the planets ecological means. However, by being pro-mass immigration you basically just build a larger and large population and destroy the countryside in a never-ending country-destroying spiral of population growth.

With the addition of a third extra corporation tax, as well as all of the other expenses they pay locally, I would presume that at least some of the companies set up there would consider leaving, the same with prospecting companies looking at the UK.
More business for us here in Ireland, huheuehueheuhue.

Interesting, which states would you consider are being turned over by private companies? None come to mind, although I agree with your saying that allowing wealth concentration is dangerous to the country, especially when it leads to an excess in crime among the masses and tax evasion, along with a multitude of other problems.

Low wages can also be attributed to companies moving overseas to places like India and China, where labour is cheaper and subsequently leads to lower wages in the home country.

They can produce more and sell to more of the world, yet that company's original country's people have less to spend on what they produce.

Rubbish she could have won, she's about as good in an unscripted situation as a chimp. She visibly cringes when there are questions she has not prepared for, and I swear I heard a little whimper from her when she was asked about her not showing up, during a press conference this morning.

Weak, pathetic and an awful public face. We can blame all of this shit on Gove. Had he not stabbed Boris in the back, the conservatives might have had a better candidate, rather than the vulture who waited for there to be no competition left.

exactly. once you realize this sad truth about mass immigration, any benefits that peoples/green quantatitive easing (may) bring is neutralized because a sharply rising population in a country that is as geographically small as the UK ruins its natural environment (countryside, historic towns and villages needed for more housing, infrastructure and extra farmland).

all other policies can be easily reversed except mass immigration.

Companies that need a highly skilled, English speaking workforce will stay. STEM jobs.

Companies that need an unskilled global workforce have already gone offshore, corp tax increase is insignificant compared to labour cost savings. Factory jobs.

Basically the UK should charge businesses a fair price for access to our skilled and educated workforce, world leading legal system, stable economy and political environment, free healthcare, excellent higher education, blah blah blah.

I agree wholeheartedly. Your legal system will be bolstered with the new worker rights groups and regulations that Corbyn wants. Especially with the powers that HMRC will be given to aid chasing those greedy scum.

>Implying that one person getting a job is representative of the entire populace.

Social care reforms hit middle classes hardest. People of that wage bracket with 250k+ homes will lost all but 100k of that, even if their care is in their own house. Kids will have to look after their parents and be less able to support a proper job, leaving the carer generation to be less able to support themselves in work, either.

It's a fucking nightmare.

The problem is that Theresa May has absolutely no charisma. She'd be utter shite in a debate. She knows this and thus shies away from them. The only reason why Corbyn's now agreeing to debate is to undermine Theresa May.

David Cameron could hold his own in the Commons and in debates. She only won the Conservative leadership by default as everyone else pulled out. This election is riding off the coat tails of based BREXIT and so will guarantee May another five years.

TL:DR, May is clever, but fuck me, she couldn't win a debate if her life depended on it.

she aint as slick as davey boy, but she has often dominated corbyn in the commons during PMQs. she would just resort to general arguments against socialism whenever corbyn would debate with compassion. dont forget that the socialist argument has been lost already, back in the 70s and early 80s, both domestically and internationally.

labour would stand more of a chance of getting accepted amonsgt the electorate if they dropped peoples quantative easing, renationalizing railways and royal mail, increasing income tax, and just focused on tax evading multinationals and offshore tax evasion as a dominant theme. (they got greedy with trying to convince the electorate of too much socialism at once). they probably would still lose because they are pro-immigration, but they might make more of a fight of it.

Corbyn has come on in strides this campaign, and I think it's because he can finally get to work without the PLP breathing down his neck. That said, May has only dominated in PMQs because she can work from a script and throw out one liners, but she's nowhere near as good at it as Cameron was. At least Cameron could think on his feet, too.

yea corbyn is a good campaigner, BUT seeing as he refuses to accept any of the arguments against mass immigration and has blind faith that increasing welfare and a living wage will somehow stop mass immigration "naturally" (as if)...he simply wont win in this election because many working class people who would be prospective labour voters DO care about the actual negatives of mass immigration. if you can't convince your core class (working class in labours case) to come out and vote for you, then you won't win.

Oh, well we could totally get into a debate on the overpopulation myth, but that's not really my concern.

Fundamentally, he's of a Marxist persuasion. His views on immigration will be formed from an economic perspective and not a social one, which is most likely where he and the rest of Britain differ. The result can be the same, but appear very differently. He doesn't campaign against immigration for the sake of the protection of British values, but the protection of people's economic prosperity, which has always been the case.

Besides, there are other things that /pol/ supports. For instance:
Being against the Jew (Corbyn is anti-isreal, where may is pro-israel)
Being against the saudis (Corbyn is very anti-saudi, may has increased our arms sales to them and worn a fucking head scarf for them)
Being against intervention (Corbyn voted against both wars, when Labour and the tories wanted them. He also voted against the Lybia strikes and we all know how well all that has gone).

Ultimately, him being PM would stem the flow of our guns into the hands of islamists and would lose israel an ally. It would also, maybe, just maybe, stop us from entering another retarded war.
>>
>>127919706
actually you need an australian points based system that is actually used to stop mass immigration whilst still importting high skill/demand job. even with being out of the EU we still have mass immigration from non-EU countries too.

if the UK needs more than 50,000 immigrants to a year to sustain our public services then something is quite wrong.

how is it a myth? all the think tanks see population increasing by the millions in the next 20 years. where would you like to house an extra 5-10 million people in the next 20 years without destroying countryside with all the new towns, cities, roads and farmland that will be needed?
>>
>>127920165
No, ultimately it would put a Marxist in a position of power. That's not good for anyone. Inviting a Jew into your house and then burning it down might be a victory based purely on body count, but you're out of a house and you don't get to do it again.
>>
>>127920675
Are we talking in planetary terms? Or national terms?

In national terms, the increased urbanization of the country will mean that populations will probably be serviced in a like manner to hong kong, in terms of cities being built upwards rather than outwards. Generally speaking, there isn't such a thing as "overpopulation" in a state sense, because more people means more needs that require filling and more needs means more jobs that require doing. If we are talking in terms of resources, then there isn't any point, because we already lack the resources to sustain our population and have done for ages. We rely on the cheap outsourced produce from spain and south america, and always will.

i don't want the UK filled with huge residential skyscrapers and frankly you would still need new towns and cities and extensions of existing towns outwards not upwards. and thats just for extra housing, schools, hospitals etc. and more farmland for more food consumption would clearly happen (in additon to extra importation of food.)

overpopulation is a problem, look at the population density of england per km2 compared to most other countries in 2017. its as densely populated as india ffs. you want it to become even more densely populated. what happened to adequate space for quality of life?

I don't particularly care, because the problems surrounding highly populated cities revolve largely around the emissions associated with it (see Bejing and New Delhi, among others) being that these are highly industrialized. With the cost of renewable energy decreasing dramatically to the point where it may undercut fossil fuels, we are likely to see a situation where city air becomes clean, within the next 50 years, and that associated population problem will be dealt with.

If your problem is simply that the view will be spoilt, then we've nothing to discuss. It's not an argument, except from personal preference. I'm a pragmatist and the market proportionately allocates work for populations, and always has.

Besides, as population density increases without a directly proportionate increase in birth rate, the death rate for elderly people dying off gets to a stage where it levels off net population growth. If not properly regulated, of course, we get to a situation like Japan where their period of population decline could actually damage them, economically, but if done properly, it will not matter.

We are not some backwater slum-fest, unable to provide jobs to an increasing population. We are one of the largest economies in the world and we're able to expand, provided those who come are willing and able to work, and those that hire don't use the migrants to undercut the workers. If you honestly think otherwise, you;re delusional.
