The son of a carpenter was actually the son of god, his mother conceived him as a virgin. He walked on water, performed miracles, and after being nailed to a tree he rose again and ascended into heaven. We know all of this from the gospels, written a century after the events described.

Judaism is a religion. Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. are religions.
