If a poor african country doesn't want it's aid cut, it needs a "pride parade". Enemies and allies are constantly pressured and berated for being "homo/transphobes", you can get fined a fuckload of money for "misgendering" someone in NY (or, at least, there's a project to do so), you can go to jail and lose all your money for not making a gay cake, your children will be made to care about transgenderism in schools or the school might be closed and you might lose them, in some countries, etc.

This is the biggest hammer used to silent dissent in this day and age
