Well no other urban area is going to attract high skilled workers imo.

Cork and Galway are nice but there just isn't enough office space or amenities. If you're earning 50k+ you want to be able to spend it, almost all theatres, festivals, museums and boutique shops restaurants are in Dublin, skilled workers will still always choose to live there.

Also taxation will increase until skilled workers leave, seriously look at our current tax rates and also the projected level of taxation/welfare the government are planning.
