You're getting some things mixed up. Austria's inclusion into the Reich was because 99% of the country begged for it, Hitler obliged. Poland was the only war they actually wanted, for the securing of German land under quasi-illegal occupation by Poland through the League of Nations decision. Then Germany unexpectedly gets war declared against them by France and England on the 3rd of September 1939, and a state of war exists. In order to get to France and Britain, they cross the Low Lands. After getting wind of Britain wanting to occupy Norway, Germany gets there first, through Denmark. Yugoslavia and Greece were after Italy fucked up their invasion there and Germany sent re-reinforcements. Hitler wasn't a pacifist, but the way the war unfolded he never wanted.
