While it's nice, in theory, to imagine a society not based on race alone (after all, plenty of whites, especially modern whites, are awful, too), the idea that you can transcend race and have a well-functioning multiracial society filled with quality individuals is a fantasy. I highly recommend "Bowling Alone" by Robert Putnam. Essentially, a left-leaning Professor found that racial diversity works to undermine social trust and cohesion, as well as causing individuals to withdraw from society and become prone to certain types of radicalization. Even a country filled with the best of humanity will inevitably suffer from this. above-average IQ, economic prosperity and culture isn't going to override millions of years of biological hardwiring.

To take this out of the realm of theory, and give it some tangibility, look at either the OJ Simpson trial, or the Zimmerman trial. Both of these cases caused massive divide in the nation; however, it wasn't Liberal v Conservative, Rural v Urban, it was White v Nonwhite (largely). Plenty of blacks knew OJ was guilty but cheered his victory, because they felt it was a strike against a systemically racist system. He wasn't a criminal escaping justice, to them, he was the first black to beat whitey's system. Similar observations can be made in the killing of Trayvon Martin. Minorities disregarded facts, and read their own feelings, ideas and experiences into the situation. It's worth keeping in mind that both of these racially inflammatory events occurred in times of economic prosperity.

People obviously weren't going to start ethnic-death squads or partake in widespread racially-motivated violence, they were far too comfortable.

Some otherwise great individuals might get left behind if white ethnonationalism takes off, but the West can't afford to tie itself in knots trying to forge an abstract civilization that is perfect in theory.
