In both WW's Germany lost due to the Anglo French alliance. Germany had better armies but bit off more than it could chew.
WW2 would like to see what would have happened if they just keep going east in Sept 1939. Not giving Russia 1.5 years to prepare.

Russia had been expanding westward since Ivan the great.

Germany vs Russian war was inevitable after Poland-Lithuania was destroyed and most of its territory was ceded to the Russian Empire.

Of course Russia was also expanding eastward and southward which brought it into conflict with the British Empire, the Ottoman Empire, and East Asia.

It was Russia and Britain fighting over Afghanistan in South Asia, for example.
