i had this realization when high and eating a bag of chips. when finished i turned it inside out and realized that without the label it was just a metallic bag, and all the personality of that bag dissapeared when the colors and designs are gone. it was a lifeless scrap of metal containing highly proccessed food. what the fuck are chips anyway? how much of a potato chip is actually potato? they stuff this shit into a pretty bag and advertise it as good with pretty people and pretty colors. all for what? so it can fill a landfill and some old jews can make more money that they don't need?

this realization sent me doubting everything about consumer culture. it's not good for us. it's good for the jews and their wallets. capitalism is the best we have currently but i believe national socialism would work better as long as they respect the health of humans and the earth.

It's a snack food in most cases, like if you are the type of person who enjoys eating a steak you aren't going to stop eating steaks because you had some jerky as a snack at 12:00pm. Also for activities like backpacking/camping you can pack a lot of jerky and eat it on the move and it won't weigh you down a much as an equivalent amount of protein in raw form. It's just a different way of eating meat, dude. Also not all jerky is rubbery, that's just the really dry jerky made from tough cuts of meat. You can make jerky that is easy to chew. If I remember correctly the fat content of the meat has a lot to do with the texture of the jerky in the same way it changes the texture of a steak.
