His arguments with respect to domesticated animals were crap. He claims the zebra could not be domesticated because it was too aggressive, but he has no idea of what the horse's temperament was like before it was domesticated. It could very well have been equally aggressive. And domesticated reindeer/moose are entirely possible as well. And South American peoples could easily have domesticated the llama for labor, as it's not really much different from the camel. Poor dumb fuckers just didn't invent the wheel so they didn't think of draft animals.

However, he's correct in pointing out the Tse-tse fly made importing the horse into Africa impossible.
