It obviously works out for Oman though. Most likely since they are a long established neutral option in Islam that doesn't get shit on and is accepted as Muslim despite not engaging in the conflict and being fairly moderate.

Neutral/ Moderate Newcomers like the Ahmadiyya of course are shat on.

For the most part. Some smaller ones like the Ismaelites are tolerated for the most par as well.
