Recently I read Journey to Ixtlan: The Lessons of Don Juan [Carlos Castaneda] to the chapter that don juan teach how to be good hunter by don't do the same things over and over again
and by doing that it's only way to find "Miracle animals" because they don't walk in the same paths everyday like other animals

finally one lucky day don juan encounter the "miracle deer" by pretend to be crying
and then that deer start talk with him

I want to convert to Zoroastrianism but no clue where or how. Zoroastrian communities here are all indians that don't accept converts. No pure iranian communities around. Trying to do it in Iran would be risky because thats illegal and i could be branded an apostate if its not a top secret ceremony. Am I fucked?

Not a pagan. The truth of it is that paganism has largely been torn to pieces by the erosion of time and Christian efforts. We dont know much about their ancient beliefs and some forms of paganism (like Slavic paganism for example) are completely incapable of being revived because we know so little about them.

Norse and GrecoRoman paganism can be revived with quite a bit of effort. The problem is creating real living traditions. If you want to know more about the Scotts, research Celtic and Brittonic history and paganism. Those should be easy enough to find.

That's pretty interesting. Not trying to skew this thread, but I want to ask a question that's a bit off topic:

When you were younger did you also have a lot of dreams of being in another place / time? That used to happen to me a lot (I literally used to stay up as late as possible to try to prevent those dreams) and after studying paganism my mind has started to wonder what that was all about. I know that many pagans believe people, especially children, can 'channel' spiritual energy and I can say with 100% honesty that, as a kid, I used to tell my parents things that I really shouldn't have had any knowledge of.
