>Because it’s what we used to do.
>Because rich people already live an open-borders life. People from wealthy families cross borders with ease. So why put such harsh restrictions on people who immigrate to work for paychecks?
>Because if capital and goods can flow across borders, why not labor?

>Because immigration improves the economy.
>Because Europe opened many of its borders, and the sky didn’t fall. Everything is fine.
>Because the U.S. is responsible for creating the conditions that cause illegal immigration.
>Because it allows people to go back. Let's stop breaking up families.
>Because fewer people will die crossing the border.
>Because border spending is out of control. Let's use our money for more important humanitarian things.
>Because border enforcement punishes the wrong people.
>Because American employers want the labor. It helps small businesses grow.
>Because our enforcement system is a piggy bank for the private prison industry. Jailing people for migrating isn’t just morally questionable, it’s expensive. The clearest beneficiary from this system is the private-prison industry, which receives millions of dollars to jail immigrants on behalf of the federal government.

This is directed at American borders, but in the end we need to remove all of our borders around the world.

Pic related in original post is just one of the reason Europe should be the first to remove their borders and stop being scared for other human beings.

Open borders will allow people of all color to move anywhere they would like. This isn't about people of dark skin. This will help everyone the same.

poopskins are a lesser race which we will be allowing to act as parasites on hard working white folk through socialist welfare programs

Your "reasons" OP, are based on feelings, not facts. For someone who try to see things as realistic as is possible, your list is no other thing that a bunch of bad decisions with more problems than solution to any problem.

OP stupid KEK we need open borders like a junkie needs heroin !! More does not make better !! Kill yourself deport yourself to Mexico .

>Because our immigration system is universally regarded as “broken.” If what we’re doing doesn’t work, why not try something different?
Yeah, like maybe build a wall. :^)

>Because it’s what we used to do.
Traditions are an idiot thing.

>Because rich people already live an open-borders life. People from wealthy families cross borders with ease. So why put such harsh restrictions on people who immigrate to work for paychecks?
Because those people don't bring wealth to our nation.

>Because if capital and goods can flow across borders, why not labor?
If you want to get into the nitty gritty on this, I believe our borders should be semi-permeable. We can let in high-skilled laborers who legitimately do jobs that not enough Americans can do, but letting in low-skill workers will take jobs from current citizens and will not even lower the price of goods all that much.

>Because undocumented immigrants are the victims of legislation that is, frankly, dumb.
not an argument

>Because immigration improves the economy.
depends what you mean by "improves". My understanding is that it lowers prices and makes the rich richer, but takes away jobs from the poor and unskilled.

>Because Europe opened many of its borders, and the sky didn’t fall. Everything is fine.
If you are talking about within the EU, then yes. Frankly a lot of this is because white immigration is not really a problem. If, however, you are talking about the "refugee crisis", then I don't see how you can consider that an argument for immigration, rather than against it.

>Because the U.S. is responsible for creating the conditions that cause illegal immigration.
I agree that we are responsible for /some/ of those conditions. The appropriate response, though, is to work on fixing that, rather than just opening our borders. e.g. legalize and regulate recreational drugs so that drug-related crime goes down.

>Because it allows people to go back. Let's stop breaking up families.
I am not aware that we hold people in the US against their will, unless they are in prison. What are you referring to?

>Because fewer people will die crossing the border.
This is legitimately a tragedy, I will admit. I have no hostility towards illegal immigrants, and I understand that they are in a tricky situation. I do not wish for them to die. Maybe we could have some sort of non-lethal form of security...?

>Because border spending is out of control. Let's use our money for more important humanitarian things.
I'm not aware of the status of border spending or any metric of how much is too much, but you may be right. We can lower our spending on border security without opening our borders, though.

>Because border enforcement punishes the wrong people.
Who are the right people?

>Because American employers want the labor. It helps small businesses grow.
Yes yes, let's all stroke the cocks of the 1%. Its the neo-liberal thing to do, don't you know?

>Because our enforcement system is a piggy bank for the private prison industry. Jailing people for migrating isn’t just morally questionable, it’s expensive. The clearest beneficiary from this system is the private-prison industry, which receives millions of dollars to jail immigrants on behalf of the federal government.
I agree, the solution is to not have privatized prisons.

>Because it's the right thing to do /pol/ :)
This is far from obvious. A nation is comprised of its people, not its soil. For each Mexican that enters the US, we become a little more like Mexico. Do you really want that?

Removal of global borders would defeat the pourpose of governing a nation. Without borders, you just have law zones around the world.
Smuggling contraband would also become a hell of a lot easier.

Without the regulation of immigrants populations could also swell overnight, simply because a bunch of people wanted to live elsewhere.

A world without borders is a chaotic world where your neighbors can walk onto your property and have a picnic in your backyard, or take a shit on your doorstep... while you're standing on it.
