Raising kids is expensive as you either have to keep both parents working and pay for someone to look after them, or you're rich
>Hire 10,000 new police officers, 3,000 new firefighters
How is this a bad thing
>Scrap student tuition fees
I only partially agree with this. STEM should be free as well as any subjects that are in high demand. Everything else you should pay for.

>More free childcare
I don't think this is a good thing. People should either pay for it or have one parent stay at home to look after the kids until they reach school age. (This is better for the children)
>Hire 10,000 new police officers, 3,000 new firefighters
I agree with this and wouldn't mind a small tax increase to support it. HOWEVER they have several very costly policies so all of these 'small tax increases' would undoubtedly add up.
>Scrap student tuition fees
I mostly agree with you on this but rather than making it free for STEM subjects I would rather the government pay for half of the tuition and leave the students to pay for the rest - and to be eligible for this funding you must work in the UK for at least 5 years after you graduate. I think this would act as a good incentive for people entering STEM while keeping costs much lower than what Labour's £9bn/year policy.
But while these particular policies seem good/ok/not bad, on the whole I agree with the Tory manifesto on more issues but one issue I disagree with May on is on controlling/monitoring the internet.
