I smoke a pipe and the ocassional cigar. I enjoy tobacco. I only do it maybe twice a week, three or four if Im on vacation or something. Sometimes I go two weeks about with none at all.

Its relaxing and tasty. Its enjoyable sitting there trying to put together all the characteristics of a certain tobacco, especially one smoked several times over a period. And pipes are a hobby in their own right.

Pipe smokers on average live like 2 years longer than non pipe smokers according to a reputable study on the health effects, and the cancer risk for my usage level is negligible...Im more likely to get skin cancer from the sun probably.

I think its ok to enjoy all things from the earth with control and moderation and its not my moral imperative to control what people consume unless I see it doing harm, in which case it should be families and communities intervening, not the state.
