Big question; would it be possible for Paganism and Christianity to reconcile?

There would be no worship of anything Pagan but the heritage preserved and possibly venerated in some way.

I realize, despite Varg's pleadings, that the renaissance was somewhat like this and yet saw Christianity through as the true religion.

However I must say there is a certain lure to Paganism, it would be described as ''coming home'' in a sense, as if I am starving for spiritual connection to the ancient past.

On the other hand I am also a firm believer in Christ, who's message and love sits deep within my heart. Like a very back seat conviction, a child runs around exploring the nearby nature but will always keep in mind the warmth of home, knowing there is security there.

For myself, I was born, raised, and baptized a Roman Catholic. Ultimately during my teenage years I went through the typical rebellious "look at me I'm an atheist" autism phase before ultimately recognizing the importance of tradition and preservation of culture.

I view Christianity as a sort of pan European unifier of sorts, an anchor and beacon to European identity and tradition. I first discovered paganism through my ancestry (predominantly Celtic/Germanic), but had still indefinite myself as a Roman Catholic.

It wasn't until I was redpilled in seeing what Europe has become that I've taken more of an interest to the older gods, as I feel that while earlier Christianity was responsible for a lot of the culture of Europe, latter Christianity and lack of belief is what's leading to its demise.

I would go to a beautiful basilica and listen to sacraments sympathizing with what I see as a threat and enemy to Europe. Then, of course, there's the rampant corruption and loss of values within the Roman Catholic Church.

I think people are too quick to dismiss paganism. If you read through something like the hávamál, it contains advice that stands true to today, and maxims that all men could follow.
