My best friend from college was a 2nd generation Indian, his parents came from there. Was a real good dude, very Americanized. Wouldn't even eat curry. His mother was also overly kind to me, so much so that I kind of have a soft spot now. His dad in a typical fashion ran a liquor store, and was a huge drunk. Almost crashed driving me to the train station.
