I was raised by a single mom and I hate the idea of single mothers. My Mom was a very nice person and probably one of the few women who could actually be considered a "good" single mom (Smart and makes over 250k a year) but she still wasn't really suited for raising a boy.

I still ended up at a top 5 university and am going to get a STEM degree, but I definitely think I'd be a better person if my father was more present in my life. I guess I was lucky that my parents divorced on good terms and don't hate each other.
