How about just sailing around the Southern Oceans directly measuring your distance travelled. The first surface circumnavigation via both the geographical Poles was achieved by Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Charles Burton (both UK) of the British Trans-Globe Expedition. They travelled south from Greenwich, London, UK on 2 September 1979, crossed the South Pole on 15 December 1980, the North Pole on 10 April 1982, and returned to Greenwich on 29 August 1982 after a 56,000 km (35,000 mile) journey.

>>
Making conspiracy theorists look ridiculous is the entire point. I really think Flat Earth is being pushed by (((THEM))).

I've been to the southern hemisphere and never saw the dippers, but did see new stars in the south. Orion was tipped over. The patterns on the moon were upside down. Winter+summer day lengths were reversed. I could call family in the afternoon and they would say it was well into night. All of these things require a curved Earth. Even if the Sun was somehow close, it should still be visible everywhere (above flat Earth) or nowhere (below flat Earth).
>>
>>127522998
How the fuck do you prove distance? By logging on to the NASA gps system? Why don't you look at real time flight paths of planes. Google it, it shows where every flight is at any given moment. Take a close look at the southern hemisphere and tell me what you see? You'll see there are no direct flights around the southern hemisphere. The all have "stopovers" in Europe.

dude read the fine print:

The Antarctic Treaty and the Environmental Protocol have established certain criteria for parties wishing to operate expeditions into the Antarctic Treaty area. This area is designated as the area south of 60° South Latitude, this includes all of the surrounding ice shelves.

Article VII(5)(a) of the Antarctica Treaty states that each party must give advance warning as to any expeditions to and within the specified territory. Whilst cruise ships will usually do this for you, if you are planning a private expedition you will need to obtain a permit yourself.

Depending on what country you belong, you will have to contact your embassy to begin discussions. For US citizens you will need to complete a DS-4131 ADVANCE NOTIFICATION FORM – TOURIST AND OTHER NON-GOVERNMENTAL ACTIVITIES IN THE ANTARCTIC TREATY AREA and then submit this to the Department of State’s Office of Ocean and Polar Affairs. You will need to do this at least 3 months in advance of your intended visit. The department will then have to determine if your expedition comes under US jurisdiction.

Does Genesis explain the part where our planet defies all laws of Physics as being the only exception in the known Universe to not revolve around a host star of predictable patterns? Or how it's the only exception of the 8 planets that isn't round?
I mean, I have my own (unscientific) beliefs as well, but I tend to draw the line when direct evidence is found literally everywhere I look, in opposition to what others 'claim to be'...

It's quite impossible to see curved water even if the earth is a sphere. Do the math. You can only see a couple of KM's out an a couple of KM's to the left a right before you hit the vanishing point. Over the distance you can actually see, the curvature is only a few inches. You'd never be able to see curvature, not eve from 30,000 feet. You've been programmed since kindergarten to "see curvature"

You might be interested, I was a recreational pilot for many years and a skydiver (not currently licensed for either cos I stopped)

I've spent many hours above 10,000 ft (roughly 2-3 kms up) and it never looked curved to me. Nor did I factor the earths orbit into my navigating (crossing distances greater than 100km)

The only time I experienced the 'curve' was when I was below 2000 ft AGL (above ground level, altimeters are set to sea level + local elevation) and my radio wasn't connecting to base which was roughly 150 kms away.

The radio worked at higher altitudes though.

The highest I've flown outside of commercial flights would be roughly 18-23k feet. No curve or navigation anomaly's due to earths rotation.

I'm compelled by evidence, and so far the evidence is pretty flimsy for spherical and flat earth. But the total disinterest from the scientific community is a concern.

Personally I hope the earth is flat and there's moar land beyond the sth pole, but I also really hope ayy lmaos are real because I really like the idea of them becoming my friends so I can interact less with normies.

This is my favourite flat earth pic.

Gravity cannot be replicated on any spinning ball. Not in space, not on earth; regardless of the size/mass of the ball. You take ANY spinning ball, and things will be THROWN OFF of it. Not drawn to it. Even in space.
>>
>>127525875
There is no such thing as "gravity". If you drop a penny in water, it sinks due to DENSITY, if you put wood in water it floats due to DENSITY. If you drop a penny in air it sinks due to DENSITY and if you release a helium balloon in air it rises due to DENSITY. Gravity is wholey unnecessary on a flat earth. It's only needed to explain what holds the water on the bottom of a sphere.

Round Earth is just the first step.

I don't understand this. Why can't both be true?

Why can't God have created the universe AND the Earth be spherical? Because Genesis 1 says it's not? Genesis 1, of the Old Testament, which is not even relevant anymore because of the New Testament, both of which underwent HEAVY ALTERATIONS during the time period when only people who could read latin could interpret the bible? Don't forget this was the same period when the church held MAJOR political and social power.

For all we know, the original version of Genesis 1 stated the Earth was spherical or that it floated in God's Space, an infinite plane of existence that is as infinite as God's power, and the church changed it to stop people from exploring concepts that would challenge their power.

Because as soon as Newtonian thinking started, the church started losing political power, as did the kings and the (((banks))).

A little learning goes a long way. God bless.

Ok #1 I can answer. #2 and #3 I can't answer other than faith and belief. That's all science offers in this respect as well. A belief in a random universe created by nothing. In regards to #1 the edge is an ice wall of Antartica. The firmament (according to faith) separates the Earth from the waters of Heaven. It's no more real or fake than, a big bang that created everything from nothing. These are questions man has been trying to answer since the beginning of time. The bigger meaning is pretty much irrelevant to the discussion of proof the Earth is Flat or a ball.

With long distances (such as a mile) there are a ton of calculations that go into making sure a shot is efficient. These calculations are things like; wind, angle of descent, range, and (for especially far distances) the rotation of the earth. If i were to not calculate the rotation of the earth, my shot will not be accurate, and i will not be on target. If the earth were flat, and it did not spin, dont you think that wouldnt be a problem?

Thanks for that. Gyroscopes are another proof of flat earth. Gyroscopes remain stationary (in terms of x/y/z axis) in space independent of gravity. All airplanes use gyroscopes to maintain level. If in fact, the earth was a sphere they would have to constantly either nose down, or adjust their gyroscopes as they move around the globe. And they don't that's absurd.

had the earth not been rotating the flight path would have been straight, but due to the rotation of the earth the surface rotates producing that slight curvature to the flight path rather than a straight line.

companies strive to be as efficient as possible - they wouldn't put random curvature in their flight paths. think of it like this: a plane on this path has to go mostly latitudinal. it'll spend most of its energy doing that. it has to travel some degree horizontal - it will spend energy doing that.

however the earth will rotate during this time. so you fly straight to where the city WILL BE when you get there and let the earth do a bit of the work. so the plane doesn't make a turn it just intercepts a moving target, which is a city in this case.

turns out kepler's laws and newton's laws work. of which i've seen no attempt at trying to discredit newtonian or keplerian physics from flat earthers, either

wew lad. Believe it or not your previous post was very interesting, I thought you were talking about the snell effect due to the density jumps in the atmosphere. They usually tend to curl the propagation of the wave to the soil. But some times it pull the wave up or create a waveguide.
>>
>>127530717

Thats because if a plane crashed in antarctica no one would be able to save the survivors fast enough, also, there are planes that fly over that continent, there's even a new years eve flight you could have taken this year past, probably next year too. Look it up
>>
>>127530519
This is absurd. I the the flight path you show, down in china where it looks like the flight orginates, near the equator, the earth is spinning at 1000 km's hr, and then when it flies over the north pole it is spinnin at 0 km's per hour, it then has to catch up to the earth spinning at lets say around 500 kms/hr based on where the end point appears to be. Absurd.
