you haven't recognised that people who promise liberty only do it because they want something from you. think of it like communism - they promised them equality, and took what freedom they had in return. it's just the same with sexual liberty today - create a culture of extreme sexual freedom and low commitment, and you create a class of people who are pacified by pleasure, and won't care if you take their freedom away from them (read 'brave new world' if you want a better illustration of this point, or j.d. unwin's 'sex and civilisation'). people who promise things like liberty and equality (both of which are alien to human nature - we are born neither free nor equal) are taking you for a ride, and have bad intentions.
