At numerous points in the protest videos they refer to Williams and Jamil's detainment and being charged with "disruption" or something. They also refer to "Dragging students out of their beds at 2 AM" just like this article does.

I also remember seeing some other stuff about some cops getting accquitted or something. Andre Thompson and Bryson Chaplin were the important names, but I don't know if it's just some other activism shit and not at all related to the stuff on campus.

I took a class taught by Bret before transferring to UW—Evolution of Human Language—something like that.

Basically, a class on both biological evolution and the evolution of human language. Got to learn the IPA and some basic linguistics, plenty about human biology, etc.

Was dope. He's thoughtful and eloquent—maybe a bit eccentric, but it was easily one of my favorite classes I took there.

Obnoxious political grandstanding of certified retards on both /pol/ and on that campus, it hurts to see the dude treated like this.

The kids in these videos—I'd say they represent a little under half of the school, hyper-radicalized by a sizable amount of baby boomers and ex-hippies running the poli-sci department. That's what it felt like. Huge part of the reason I left.
