Jesus fucking Christ shut the fuck up with your nuke threads

less dangerous than coal
Its pretty safe.

Sorry...but it's for a research paper....

Ask Fukushima
>>127369067
When theres a meltdown your DNA will literally unravel
Number of deaths from nuclear in the United States EVER - 13
Number of deaths from coal every year in the United States - over 10,000
Pic related, it's the number of people that could be saved every year by using nuclear energy rather than coal and gas power.
COAL IS THREE 9/11'S EVERY YEAR.

Not very. Creates no emissions other than steam (which is what you see in your picture) and nuclear waste. The waste is put in concrete tombs where close to no radiation can escape.
The area around nuclear plants does emit radiation but since plants have been around since the 50s we know that living near one for extended periods of time does not cause negative side effects.
Nuclear catastrophes do (obviously) happen. Chernobyl was a product of piss poor soviet engineering. Three Mile Island was completely contained. Fukushima - don't build a nuclear plant where a tsunami can hit it

When things go wrong they go wrong catastrophically, and render large swathes of the planet unfit for life for hundreds and thousands of years. The nuclear fuel can't be disposed of safely. Only buried somewhere we hope people won't find it too quickly.
Think tanks are trying to figure out how to create archetypal stories to warn humans thousands of years in the future about nuclear waste sites. They were thinking about decorating them with creepy spikes to hopefully unsettle any passersby enough to stay away from the nuclear waste. Or genetically engineering cats that glow near radiation to warn people away.
Nuclear shit is bad. But as long as we can ignore it for *right this very second*... nobody gives a shit.

I wish I could go back in time to the 70s and cuntpunt the greens so they won't block Nuclear power in this country.

Fuckin ay, we have so much land. Even if they're worried about spill out put it on Maralinga
It's extremely safe, but two high profile disasters in recent global history ruined it for everyone for a long time.

It's extremely safe.

Quite.
