It's true. Masculinity is disgusting.
Nature throughout history has proven this by how women are instinctively attracted to and latch onto weak spineless men.

Masculinity is a trick propagated by... you guessed it... men.

I think it's a dumb phrase that inadvertently shames men and masculine behavior/social norms, but I do think there are instances of people completely losing their cool in an attempt to look "hard."

Hell, if you believe in black men being overly/inherently aggressive, you believe in toxic masculinity as a principle, you just think it's okay when white people do it because you're racist.

masculinity is a cover all term for certain traits and behaviors, that everyone from time to time expresses..

if you could quantify all that masculinity entails, then find a way to prevent people from exhibiting those traits and behaviors, Only then can you "cure" the "toxic" masculinity... ?
