If you have an idea, just putting it down in a messy way is fine. You can even put it away and work on it some other time.

For practice, I started reading books and do something I did back in school: grab 5 paragraphs, and then make a summary of it into 1 paragraph. Keep doing this for the entirety of the book. Do it over again if it's possible. That way you not only write down what you have learned from the book, but you are also making the idea presented by the book much easier to understand.

For writing down new things, I started doing worldbuilding. Google it and follow some of the starting guides.

Every function of your mind is like a muscle. Work on it, you build it up, gain momentum, and then you will have to maintain it. Let it go, and it begins to atrophy, or worse gets fat. Maintaining certain levels can be challenging and reaching high levels is even harder. You also risk burning out if you rise too quickly.

This applies to socializing, relationships, goals, business, education, health, knowledge, and many more areas of life. So think about the results you wish to achieve and what it will take to get there. Stop being a bitch, stop LARPing, stop fantasizing, stop dreaming, stop thinking too much. Start from the smallest step in the right direction, a step that gets you closer to your desired result. Do not ignore your desires, let them manifest. Action is key. Focus your energy on building one desire at a time and don't let yourself get overwhelmed. Cut out your distractions. Like the great Snoop Dogg once said "If it don't make dollars, I don't make sense".

Avoid anticipating instant results or getting paralysis by analysis at all costs. Remove your emotion and simply do what has to be done.

If I meditate intensely for a couple of hours I feel like I am very very high on morphine - except with no nausea, or euphoria - it's the perfect "high". It's like your entire being is carried along gently on waves of expansion and contraction. I have been doing this since 2010 though and I only broke through to that experience last year. The more important thing is that your overall baseline equanimity is raised, you experience things with less "attachment" such that negative experiences fade much quicker and you start to actually notice positive experience.
