A 15$/hr min. wage is:

This entire post is fucking retarded. On one hand, you're saying that low skill workers will be kicked out of the workforce as a good thing, and on the other, that more people will work. This is a huge fucking contradiction. More people will "seek employment" and get no fucking jobs as you've already admitted in your own post, so there isn't even a guarantee that total payrolls will be higher (thus corporations aren't even paying more money). This is the economic ramblings of a Bernie Sanders supporter.

No it doesn't, it does the complete opposite. A minimum wage is a price floor on labor, so low skilled workers have to compete with workers with a higher marginal benefit for the same wage. It's not as if private businesses are unable to pick who is better suited for a job, it's in their direct financial interest that they get the best employees.

There is no guarantee that total payrolls will be higher because less people are working. 8 people being paid $10 an hour for 8 hours is more than 5 people being paid $15 an hour for 8 hours.
