>Omni-capitalist
>Saved his country from communism by throwing them out of helicopters
>Authoritarian who only killed within the necessary means and then returned the power to the people democratically after restored balance and made his country the most powerful and rich in the continent
>Gladly took all the guilt, sin, and blood on himself for what he had to do to make his people prosper
Was Pinochet the greatest political individual to exist in the last 50 years?

Yes and no
>>126877200
>installed by (((cia))) and (((kissinger)))
>sold his country to IMF
>literally a globalist neoliberal with an authoritarian twist
>>126877200
>Omni-capitalist
His economic policies ended in complete failure and catastrophy.
>Saved his country from communism by throwing them out of helicopters
There are communists in Chilie, but there are no fascists.
Also, throwing people from helicopters is the worst and most autistic method of execution in human history.
>Authoritarian who only killed within the necessary means and then returned the power to the people democratically after restored balance and made his country the most powerful and rich in the continent
He didn't restore anything nor brought prosperity. He plunged the country in economic and political crisis. Most powerful or rich or not, but those who came after him were quite successful with economy.
How was Stroessner as a dictator and how was he compared to Pinochet??

Allende probably wouldn't have been so bad of the CIA hadn't been all up in his grills
Literally plummeting the price of copper just to destroy their economy
>>126877200
If by Pinochet you mean CIA, then yes.
Pinochet loved that CIA's dick in his mouth.
He betrayed the country, and to this day we keep digging up corpses of women and children.

>communist not having a diverse economy
Got what they had coming. Pinochet's coming was a heavensent.
Don't forget that Allende had a lot of support from Russia at the same time. The CIA's support of Pinochet is often terribly exaggerated too. As someone with parents who grew up in Chile under the junta, Pinochet is arguably the greatest politician in the last century. Not exactly my paleolibertarian ideal but the best step in the right direction.

Their economy was entirely based on copper before the country went communist.
>>126879593
And of course the CIA bumped the prices back up after their puppet took power.

The two recession were caused by Frei and Allende , the reason the coup happened at all was because these recessions were coming and Pinochet and the CIA decided to not lead to a Chilean civil war , and instead took power and privatized industries, opened up trade, and sentenced all the leftists to die.
It was a last resort effort.
That would be Salazar.

A small and isolated country like Chile actually benefits a lot from globalization, especially when it had low education levels and high poverty last century.
Globalizing is their best strategy to progress, selling their valuable minerals and importing technology and receiving private investments. And being already half mestizo prevents them from having any purity to lose from opening to migrants.
>>126879523
My parents were such big Pinochet supporters that they were planning on moving to Chile but they didn't because my birth made it super difficult to apply for citizenship
>>126879795
>ubiquitous secret police to quell opposition from any descender
real quality guy. How did your country turn out again?
Oh right you're so poor you're draining other countries
>>126877764
Economic policies ending in complete failure and catastrophe looks more like pic related.
>>126877200
Pussy that pretended to be dying to avoid face his crimes like a man.
Yea pretty brave man right there.
