After the election, Dutch PM Rutte has been trying to put together a majority coalition.
He has his own party VVD, CDA, and D66, which gets him just short of a majority. Problem is, he hasn't been able to find a fourth party.
The leftist parties have all refused to sign on, which has left CU (which is a center-right Christian Democrat party) as a coalition partner. Problem is, the social liberals in D66 really don't want to enter coalition with them.
Today D66 and CU had talks to try to work some compromise out, but they failed. Both party leaders have said that future efforts aren't worth the time to even try.
This means that, either Geert's party will need to enter the government in some capacity OR there will need to be new elections, because the government won't have confidence of the majority.

Listen sweetie, none of the options they wish for are realistic. The combination VVD, CDA, D66 and GL is done for. PvdA wants to be opposition. CU and D66 differ too much, same with VVD and GL.

Why the fuck do Europeans think multiple party system works when they typically end up joining together?
Seems like they forget when SD won in Sweden, all the others on the Left and Right joined each other to go against them.
