Christ loves the truth, because he is the truth. If you separate yourself from it, if you cut yourself off from the body of Christ, can you really say it's all good? I don't think so. This is a modern day documentary, my friend.
The guy being interviewed was a Catholic priest who left the Vatican. He grew up as an orphan himself being molested by Catholic priests, and finally realized this whole system is fucked and left. One of the guys who molested him was an archbishop and tried to buy him off, giving him a bigger position within the Vatican Church if he just stayed quiet, but he obviously didn't take it.

Look at what this church is today. Be an independent Christian and if you want a church, look for a real church.

I would say that, in theory at least, poltical power from a Catholic PoV would first and formost recognize that all things are a gift from God. And ruler must always remember that they are subservient to the Lord and as such must act accordingly. Furthermore, a leader is a man who has been given power to serve the people, much like the apostles and the Church. You are not above the people, but servants of them.
As such, they must act within a Catholic moral framework, following things such as just war theory, most of Catholic social teaching and so on. Now, there are 2 """caveats""" to this: free will, as a gift from God, means that basic human rights, such as freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly and so on must be preserved. What God has given, one can not take away. So you can't go burning heretics, unless that's the only option in something like war, as outlined in just war doctrine. The second caveat is a caveat to that caveat, if any one of those things were to pose an existential threat to the Word of Christ, then you can ignore them, but only if ignoring them is the only way. So you can go full deus vult on isis (and frankly we should), but if someone is beating you because they preach better, then learn to preach even better than them.

So essentially, be humble, remember your place as servant of God and the People, and act as a Good Christian should.
