Based Institute of Christ the King
>>
>>126180403
In 1054, the papal legate sent by Leo IX traveled to Constantinople for purposes that included refusing to Cerularius the title of "Ecumenical Patriarch" and insisting that he recognize the Pope's claim to be the head of all the churches.[2] The main purpose of the papal legation was to seek help from the Byzantine Emperor in view of the Norman conquest of southern Italy and to deal with recent attacks by Leo of Ohrid against the use of unleavened bread and other Western customs,[12] attacks that had the support of Cerularius. Historian Axel Bayer says the legation was sent in response to two letters, one from the Emperor seeking assistance in arranging a common military campaign by the eastern and western empires against the Normans, and the other from Cerularius.[13] On the refusal of Cerularius to accept the demand, the leader of the legation, Cardinal Humbert of Silva Candida, O.S.B., excommunicated him, and in return Cerularius excommunicated Humbert and the other legates.

Yes, this has always been the Church's teaching. If they seek God (which entails following his teachings & refraining from homosexual activity), they should be helped.

Anyone who thinks he's soft on this is clerly judging him on tabloids.

Pope Francis on homosexual marriage:

>"At stake is the identity and survival of the family: father, mother and children," said Cardinal Bergoglio. "At stake are the lives of many children who will be discriminated against in advance, and deprived of their human development given by a father and a mother and willed by God. At stake is the total rejection of God’s law engraved in our hearts.”

>“Let us not be naive: This is not simply a political struggle, but it is an attempt to destroy God’s plan," said the future pope. "It is not just a bill (a mere instrument) but a ‘move’ of the father of lies who seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God.”

If you read papal encyclicals like Rerum Novarum and Quadragesimo Anno, as well as the CCC, you will see that Catholicism condemns both capitalism and socialism. Capitalism is incompatible because of usury and exploitation of workers. Socialism is incompatible because it denies people the right to private property.

Distributism(not to be confused with redistribution of wealth) is an economic theory that emerged from Catholic social teaching by men such as GK Chesterton, Hillaire Belloc, and Fulton Sheen. The gist of it is the family rather than the individual should be treated as an economic unit, and every family should have their own private property to be self-sufficient. It goes along with other Catholic theories such as solidarism, subsidiarity, and corporatism.

I'm sceptical about Putin's request, Lithuainanon. I think Patriarch Kirill would be especially annoyed. There's a clear, concerted effort to increase religious observance in Russia under Russian Orthodox. They don't want people loyal to a religious figure that can't be controlled in their own country

"Since then these things are manifest to us, and we have looked into the depths of the divine knowledge, we ought to do in order all things which the Master commanded us to perform at appointed times. He commanded us to celebrate sacrifices and services, and that it should not be thoughtlessly or disorderly, but at fixed times and hours. He has Himself fixed by His supreme will the places and persons whom He desires for these celebrations, in order that all things may be done piously according to His good pleasure, and be acceptable to His will. So then those who offer their oblations at the appointed seasons are acceptable and blessed, but they follow the laws of the Master and do not sin. For to the high priest his proper ministrations are allotted, and to the priests the proper place has been appointed, and on Levites their proper services have been imposed. The layman is bound by the ordinances for the laity."

Based, and hopefully full reconcillation is achieved soon

>Some days ago, the Feria Quarta of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, their meeting - the call it the Feria Quarta, because it’s the fourth Wednesday - studied a document and the document still hasn’t reached me, the study of the document. This is the first. Secondly, the current relations are fraternal. Last year, I gave a license for confession to all of them, also a form of jurisdiction for marriages, but even before the problems, the cases they had, for example, had to be resolved by the Doctrine of the Faith. The Doctrine of the Faith carries them forward. For example, abuses. The cases of abuse, they brought them to us, also to the Penitentiary. Also the reduction to the lay state of a priest, they bring to us. The relations are fraternal. With Msgr. Fellay I have a good rapport. I’ve spoken many times… I don’t like to hurry things. Walk. Walk. Walk. And then we’ll see. For me, it’s not an issue of winners and losers, it’s an issue of brothers who must walk together, looking for a formula to make steps forward." - http://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2017/05/very-important-pope-speaks-on-relations.html#sthash.gKppMqdL.dpuf

They have no regard for charity, none for the widow, the orphan, the oppressed, none for the man in prison, the hungry or the thirsty. They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they do not admit that the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, the flesh which suffered for our sins and which the Father, in His graciousness, raised from the dead."

"Letter to the Smyrnaeans", paragraph 6. circa 80-110 A.D.

"Come together in common, one and all without exception in charity, in one faith and in one Jesus Christ, who is of the race of David according to the flesh, the son of man, and the Son of God, so that with undivided mind you may obey the bishop and the priests, and break one Bread which is the medicine of immortality and the antidote against death, enabling us to live forever in Jesus Christ."

you can call yourself a Catholic and still be a non-catholic heretic, you know that right? You are only a Catholic if you act like one and subscribe to Catholic dogma. If you don't you aren't, no matter how many signs with "catholic" written on it you print out. Can't say the same for whatever meme denomination you belong to.

>When considering implicating the office of the priesthood or the Catholic Church as some sort of outlier in sexual abuse, I think it's worth recognizing that those abuses happen in lower numbers than in Protestant churches, Muslim mosques, synagogues, and various secular institutions. This includes public schools, in which teachers (most of whom are female and obviously non-celibate) are 100 times more likely to abuse children than Catholic priests. Cover-ups abound as well. The idea that there is any Catholic exceptionalism in the case of sexual abuse is premised solely on media coverage and not on population level parametric data:

Psalm 14:1
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good."

Those who hate God the most, the ones who spout such vile poison against Him, always turn out to be literal cultural marxists. Regardless of what they CLAIM to be.

They hate life. They hate goodness, they hate Christ, and they want to see the destruction of all that is righteous and Holy. They want the world to be in as much misery as they are. This is always the end result of atheism. Of Godlessness.

Atheists are a major driving force for the downfall of morals and society. They are nation and society destroyers. Which is why the Jews and elites brainwash people with it.

The enemies of God & Christ are enemies of a righteous civilization.

Jews are often atheist anyway. The atheists are just soulless pawns. Which is no surprise why 99.9% of leftists are atheists. And the ones that aren't openly worship Satan.

Leftists themselves are, in fact, evil.

They are not "misled".
They are not "victims to brainwashing".
They are evil.
They have willfully given themselves over to the works of darkness.

It's not just "liberals".
It's not just "communists".
It's not just "socialists".
It is ALL of Leftism itself.

Never, ever give them an inch or try to compromise. They are insidious snakes and are completely soulless. They want the destruction of all goodness and righteousness in the world.

1 Peter 5:8
"Be sober. Be vigilant. Because your adversary, the Devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."

>You have to tell yourself stories that violate ever law of the universe just to believe in stories that were shoved down your throat by your parents.

Assuming is very poor practice.

>If you were born in India you would believe in sacred cows and multiple Gods, if you were born in the middle east, you would be muslim, if you were born in the anciente Greece, you would worship Zeus.

And the modern west is largely Naturalist.

Naturalism (noun): a philosophical viewpoint according to which everything arises from natural properties and causes, and supernatural or spiritual explanations are excluded or discounted.

I have just as much room to assume you're just a product of your culture as you do me without actually peering into people's history in supporting a view. Your very criticism about the violation of laws of the universe is a product of the worldview taught by many parents and most western schools along with modern mainstream culture. So what are you getting at? You're not saying that our views are wrong, just assuming that we didn't think for ourselves despite not knowing a thing about us and not realizing that your logic applies to you as well.

Catholicism, orthodoxy, oriental and the church of the east are so close to recommuning (especially with the council of ravenna) yet also so far due to human pride. All problems stem from linguistic differences causing misunderstanding. Everyone is completely in theological agreement even with supposedly controversial stuff like the filioque or purgatory or papal supremacy yet language and pride causes rifts. The church should focus on dialogue at all levels to restore ecumenism. Maybe even call for an ecumenical council to hash things out

Babylon is called Arabia in Isaiah 21, and all of the cities listed are located in modern Saudi Arabia

>Roma delenda est
You must be plebbit. You should be quoting in Phoencian not Latin if you're going to say such a blasphemous thing. Don't quote latin if you're going to curse Rome.

“In the city of Rome the episcopal chair was given first to Peter, the chair in which Peter sat, the same who was head--that is why he is also called Cephas [‘Rock’]--of all the apostles, the one chair in which unity is maintained by all. Neither do the apostles proceed individually on their own, and anyone who would [presume to] set up another chair in opposition to that single chair would, by that very fact, be a schismatic and a sinner. . . . Recall, then, the origins of your chair, those of you who wish to claim for yourselves the title of holy Church.”
-St. Optatus, “The Schism of the Donatists,” c. 367 A.D.

“They (the Novatian heretics) have not the succession of Peter, who hold not the chair of Peter, which they rend by wicked schism; and this, too, they do, wickedly denying that sins can be forgiven (by the sacrament of confession) even in the Church, whereas it was said to Peter: 'I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of Heaven, and whatsoever thou shalt bind on Earth, shall be bound in Heaven, and whatsoever thou shall loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven.'"
-St. Ambrose of Milan, “On Penance,” 388 A.D.

Believing in scientific proven facts is not "being mainstream" or "being a product of your culture", it's about observation and deduction.
You can't seriously deny that a scientific proven facts don't existe. You can't say that you do not believe in the law of gravity and then jump off a high building and not fall, because scientific proven facts applies to everyone and everything and it does not matter if you belive it or not, it does not matter if you pray to your god for a miracle, if you jump of a building you will fall because of gravity and it's impossible to change that fact, observation and deduction like i said.

I spoke to a person a bit ago that was saying Limited Atonement was beautiful. His argument was simply to speak of how the doctrine makes Jesus' death on the cross sound more monumental. During the entire defense for its beauty he seemed to not even mention that it includes that people be predestined to Hell.

It's ridiculous that people think they are focused on God when they forget the Body of Christ. It's no surprise that the derivative groups think they can seem God on their own and be separate from the church in the process. They are willfully separating themselves from the Body of Christ.

He's pointing out how silly it is to think that having technology do more work for them makes humans any smarter, or answers all questions about existence. If anything, people are more likely to have their lives pre-interpreted for them by the media and government and the abstract principles underpinning their operation.

You also failed to see the distinction he was making between what is scientifically knowable and what's not. Scientific questions have scientific answers, but philosophical questions haven't been given by science the answers crude atheism seems to think they have.

>Believing in scientific proven facts is not "being mainstream" or "being a product of your culture", it's about observation and deduction.

Exactly right. However, the Logical Positivism you're espousing as the sole basis of your epistemology is.

No one is doubting or questioning scientific study itself. Most people before your early 20th century ideology was created supported deductive knowledge alongside inductive knowledge. That was the distinction between theorems and theories. However you focusing just on science only support theories as to be source of knowledge.

As this view is gaining popularity because of New Atheist figures and is mainstream now, I can suspect that you having that worldview is just you being a product of your culture. But of course I can't know this without knowing you and would rather not assume.

As you support "science" staunchly and yet also speak of deduction, I'm also of the opinion that you're just confused. Science is inherently inductive, so you're leaving out deduction to focus solely on that. And of course you miss how Natural Theology is a branch of philosophy where theology and theism is defended on study of nature.

Saint Fidelis of Sigmaringen:

After studying philosphy of law he noticed how many lawyers were corrupted by greed to commit injustices. So Fidelis decided to become a Franciscan Capuchin. He studied theolgoy and was ordained into the priesthooda nd preached the word of god with great success. Pope Gregory XV he founded the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples. He decided to preach in Switzerland to correct the errors of the Calvinists. Among their errors, were concerning the Pope, predestination, and purgatory. And so he labored with great success and at the same time he was correcting error he experienced a desire for martyrdom, inspired by the Holy Spirit. And so after preaching a sermon, the Calvinists dragged him from the pulpit and inflicted so many blows on him that he died right there on the spot. His life is a reminder to all of us to be faithful unto death, with all our mind and strength, even if it costs us our life. Giving up his life as a lawyer nor his own life was done without reservation, not ready to cave into heresy and kikery.

Consdering Luke's remarkable historical accuracy, there's no reason to believe that the Virgin Birth was just a later invention, especially since the Virgin Birth was likely to attract scrutiny. So it would have made no sense to mention it if it didn't happen.

You know what poetic language is, right? And while we're on the subject of science in the Bible.

>Sure... and then they arrested Galileo
oh look another ignorant meme from an ignorant retard. Galileo was a personal friend of the Pope. He wasn't even arrested, in the sense that nobody gave a shit if he left his house, and he was continuously visited by cardinals and all sorts of people. In fact, the Church in his case follow the scientific method. Galileo's theory had flaws, it didn't fit all calculations because Galileo had not understood planets had an elliptic orbit. He was told "it has flaws, so you cannot say it is 100% true, we need more evidence to understand why some calculations don't fit, but you can expose in your writings the merits and flaws of both your theory and the competing ones". Instead he called the Pope a retard publically, while claiming that he was 100% and everyone else was 100% wrong.

Please grow up and don't come back here until your balls have dropped or you've learned how to read a book. Thanks.

>it's hard for me to have faith, the main reason i stopped believing was because i was stuck on a mindset of "if i can't see it or it can't be proven it's not real"

Although one should always regret falling away anon, you're not alone in losing faith during teenage years. A lot of the time, I think, we find excuses to lose faith so we can seem intelligent or set ourselves apart from previous generations. Obviously, you now see (no pun intended) that because you can't see God, does not mean he does not exist. In fact, if a God wanted people's belief to be FAITH, it's obvious why he'd leads us to believe him in, but could not make it too obvious.

I hope you'll have the courage & motivation to try & get back in to your faith, & the faith that built France, & try attending mass soon

Answered some of these out of order, but tried my best.
Jesus isn't speaking literally in John 6. He's talking about the upcoming crucifixion. Read the whole thing and see for yourself
Not all protestants believe women should lead the a church.
2 Thessalonians 2 doesn't mean what you think it means. Verse 15:
Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
Is actually a warning NOT to be deceived by the other false teachers who had been appearing. Again, read the whole chapter instead of taking verses out of context.
A wonderful explanation of James 2:20-24 and how it seemingly contradicts Romans (but doesn't actually) is here:
http://www.desiringgod.org/messages/does-james-contradict-paul
Baptism isn't even mentioned in the context of John 3:5. (AGAIN!) Read the whole chapter. Here's the passage.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Jesus is pretty clearly contrasting the first birth with the spiritual rebirth one experiences through faith, and says both are necessary for a man to reach heaven.
I'll admit I don't want to touch James 5:20, but in 2 Peter there isn't any talk of the actual loss of eternal security. Sinning as a Christian is way less fun than before, because you don't have any excuse to behave that way. You know you shouldn't but still do and end up suffering far more than you would've if you didn't know about Christ.
I have no problem with the last one. Pray however you want.

>What gets lost in the cultural noise is that the hardest people on Galileo were fellow scientists; they had every right to doubt his work, by his method the tides only happened once a day, and at the same time every day. If you think denying climate change is bad, well, Galileo denied the existence of the Moon. Every illiterate sailor in the world knew better, as did every kid living near the water, but Galileo attacked everyone who pointed out his math was wrong - like Kepler. Catholics were not against Galileo, the Pope encouraged him to write his famous book, he wanted a good argument for Copernicus, he even helped pick the title. But Galileo insisted on being a jerk to everyone - so he got a cushy house arrest. During the Inquisition. Yeah, sorry, but that was not Catholics being against Galileo or it would have gone a lot worse.

Rosaries aren't even pagan though.
>According to pious tradition, the concept of the rosary was given to Saint Dominic in an apparition of the Virgin Mary in the year 1214 in the church of Prouille. This Marian apparition received the title of Our Lady of the Rosary.[20] In the 15th century it was promoted by Alanus de Rupe (aka Alain de la Roche or Blessed Alan of the Rock), a Dominican priest and theologian, who established the "fifteen rosary promises" and started many rosary confraternities.

None of these things have anything to do with the topic we are discussing. Calling your personal opinions fact is the mark of a very unintelligent man who, to begin with, hasn't even read Kant.
>And the Gods of other religons are not true Gods why?
The Catholic view is explained in the video I linked you. You'll also learn a thing or two about how atheist bias can cloud your judgement.
>The center of the universe is were the big bang happened, and it did not happened in our Milky Way
You obviously didn't even understand my point, or you did but because you lack counterarguments you have to pretend you are retarded. If you opened some physics books you would know that there isn't a center in the universe, it expands in all directions and has no focal point. Also the Big Bang theory was literally formulated by a Catholic priest. It was also fought very hard by atheist scientists because it paved the way to the understanding of a creator, rather than their wishful thinking that the "ether" always existed and therefore there was no need for a creator.
>You are completely delusional, you remind me of those people who don't want to accept a fact and then made up dumb excuses

Theory is a group group of hypotheses that does not mean that all the hypothesis are right.

For example:
Believing that God made the Universe is one theory/hypotheses, but then science and technology developed and show it that was not God, but the big bang that made the Universe, so the theory of God making it was wrong.
If you still believe that God made the Universe you are only believing it because of your faith (that your parents and culture, imposed to you) not because of scientific facts.

Existing is more than just fields of force. We are body and spirit, and this duality cannot be rightly understood until we are reconciled unto ourselves through Christ who reconciled the whole world to himself by taking on the form of man. Science as a method is one of the great and noble tools developed by man, but when hubris creeps in it becomes scientism and becomes dangerous. It becomes a strange ideology.

>Theory is a group group of hypotheses that does not mean that all the hypothesis are right.

...?
In academia, theories are based on induction. Science. Theorems are based on deduction. Philosophy. Both function together.

Arguments in Natural Theology are mainly deductive in nature.

And lets not speak of the Big Bang. We both know that the science is still out of that so we cannot make definitive claims. It is an expansion, not a creation however. But, what is more important is Divine Conservation - what sustains life continuously. The vast majority of cosmological arguments for God in Christianity are about Divine Conservation rather than a past temporal cause (a "before the big bang").

Either way, lets not get on a new topic. We're still talking about whether it is proper to say you could be a product of your surrounding culture. You have failed to resist my criticisms.

SJW's have no real concept of Justice. Justice is inherently negative in the sense that it rights wrongs, and condemns those who break social ills. You cannot run around seeking justice if you have no concept of substantial virtue, otherwise it becomes monstrous and savage in it's perverse application. You cannot focus on the wrongs to set all things to right. It requires first the fostering of virtue within oneself, and then the fostering of virtue within others. Jesus said the heart of the law is mercy.

The three who saw the visions were told that Russia specifically had to be consecrated, but instead the bishops consecrated the world instead for political reasons. I believe it is too late now to consecrate Russia to the sacred heart of Mary. I am probably wrong, but I believe that some catholics believe that the Chastisement must come.

Christ is coming soon.

Catholics aren't bound to agree with a pope's opinions, as they are just opinions. Unless he speaks ex cathedra. He hasn't said anything heretical ex cathedra but every other thing that gets reported in the media is outright heresy, or is misreported as such. He's a terrible pope. Btw cardinals picked him, not God.

Russia already spread her errors across the world. That is where SJW and crap came from. Political correctness. It's all a new version of communism.

Y'know, how does someone who believe Predestination understand the whole scenario of St. Peter's three rejections of Christ?

Don't call them that. What was the reason Christ died? For our sins. All of our sins. You are just as much his murderer.

>holy shit you are absolutely illiterate, aren't you? The Big Bang made the universe expand, the matter that makes the universe already existed
You know that rapid expansion = explosion don't you?
You could argue, "what created the energy/mass that got compressed so much that created a big explosion that created the Universe (Big Bang)
But the big bang created the Universe, the energy/mass that got compressed to explosion was not the Universe.

Let me guess you don't have a University degree, but if you have your are from Humanities/economics/artes
How did i guess?

>You know that rapid expansion = explosion don't you?
and? The Big Bang didn't generate matter, all the matter already existed, it was only confined in a small place.
>what created the energy/mass that got compressed so much that created a big explosion that created the Universe (Big Bang)
I suggest you read some books and get some education, it is obvious you have no idea what you are talking about. The universe didn't need energy to stay the way it was, quite the opposite. It needed energy to expand, a huge deal of energy. There is no generation of energy in the universe, so from wherever that energy came from, it didn't come from the universe itself. The universe has a creator, and even if you don't believe it is God, it is an aware one.
>Let me guess you don't have a University degree, but if you have your are from Humanities/economics/artes
Let me guess, you didn't finish high-school. I have two degrees, one scientific and one in the humanities field + two masters.
>"i'm not retarded i was just pretending"
I see that you keep with the damage control. Maybe /pol/ is right and portoguese are actual nigger, it would explain your lack of neurons. You are free to prove me wrong about Galileo anon, whenever you want. Any google search will show you I am right though, so suit yourself ;)

2 Peter 3

>Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
>For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
>Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
>But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
>But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
>But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

I hope you don't hold the founding masons to any high regard. They judeo-freemasons, which seeks to destroy Christianity.

>We're still talking about whether it is proper to say you could be a product of your surrounding culture.
If you are religious you are a product of your surrounding culture, i think even religious people agree with that.
But if you instead of believing in what your religion says, you guide your believes by observation and deduction, you will end up guiding yourself by scientific proven facts that are the same no matter if you were born in Europe, Middle east, India, China, Mars or in another Galaxy (because the laws of physics apply to all of our Universe)

>Catholics aren't bound to agree with a pope's opinions unless he sits on the chair and talks it over with the cardinals
I know this already. Why would God let a terrible pope become pope? This is His church isn't it? Does he want you all to be led astray? The pope's opinions may be opinions, but he has authority on his side. In the same way I would rather trust a meteorologist than Bill Nye about climate change, when it comes to the ails of the catholic church, he is the most trustworthy authority. Your rejection of what he is saying only further supports it. Many catholics, like you, are so entrenched in their dogma that they would rather doubt their own head of church than give up their heresy and consider alternatives.

he will never admit he got BTFO, he will just continue autistically schreeching until the opponent gets tired of explaining the obvious to him. Part of being an atheist is rejecting everything that goes against your preconceived notions, and telling yourself that your retarded ideas probably picked up by a Hitchens youtube videos are some groundbreaking revolutionary concept that only the enlightened can understand. Ironic, isn't it?
Just like the bible says: "professing themsevles to be wise, they became fools"
