the running and dry fire training would likely be done at morning time. sun light looks about right and thats the sort of thing you would begin a training day with.

My guess is that they ran from their initial training area to the berm where they're conducting the dry fire.

Given the level of training these guys have and the permissiveness of the local population, I would imagine they aren't running more than 3 miles or so.

I think the easiest way to find the house is simply to look at a map of lots of houses which are oriented in the right direction. That is, pointed somewhat southeast

My point is that these housing districts seem to follow a grid plan, and the roads too. Instead of searching for an individual house in a sea of many, you can simply glance at the grid plan for a particular bloc of houses. If it's pointed in the right direction you have a match

I think a better way to do this would be a program that assigns a section of the map for an individual to search. Then if nothing is found, crosses that section of the map off so we don't have to search it again. Then proceed like this until the entire map has been searched.

If even only 100 people did this we could cross off half of Syria by tomorrow

This graphic is made up of three components. It captures the basics of what we have uncovered over a few nights of work.

1. the orientation of the house in relation to the sun - since we know the sun is setting while the dudes are at the house, we are able to take the floorplan and orient it with what we see in the video.

The Sunset is occurring over the wall. The house therefore has a predominantly north south orientation. It might jiggle 15 - 20 degrees either way of a direct clean north south orientation. Supporting evidence would be that a pool in the northern hemisphere will be in the southern end of the property to keep it in the sun without being in the shadow of the house.

2. a topographical map ( updated here ) that shows where the hills are in relation to the city. If you google earth your arse onto the road by the training ground, and u look west, then the closes hills are at hamoryah. Thus we have deduced that the hills in the running pic with the high rise buildings is close to hamoryah or beit sawa.

3. a Map of east gouta, the territory that is still in rebel control. the map of east gouta also has three rectangles on it which represent the areas (roughly) under the control of the fsa ( the dudes in the vid) . We also deduced that the guys cannot do meaningful training runs of over 10km - they are not marathon runners they are soldiers in training. Further, they need to keep their location secret, so very long forays out into the countryside would lead to detection/exposure.

I his continued from last time (the place with a lot of pools)? If so, I can help a little bit. There's a white truck that IS NOT a Toyota Hilux. It is a Dodge/Chrysler M139 ("Deuce and a Half"). The rebels can mount 14.5mm DshK or the classic 23MM on them. I think the White truck in the depot maybe getting ready to be fitted with a 23mm like pic related.

we think it's the setting sun because we have syrians on the thread (/sg) and they told us that the running scenes were captured around 12 -13h00 and that the garden scenes were captured 16h30-17h00.
the orangeness of the light indicates dust in the air - makes sense after a day of activity, morning light is clear, evening light is orange.
also the evening makes sense as a time to run the aiming drills as they are big muscle activities, which mean u learn them whenever - even after a hard day of jogging. they dont cost much and each repetition reinforces the lesson.

Just to give u guys a heads up:

This particular process is a difficult one. The jihadi's have learned to disguise their location in the vid. Even the last frame of the vid blurs out as the drone rises - they know they dont want to show the skyline.

this problem is difficult. it's disguised and it's a billion fucken houses.

We picked out another site in idlib 2 nights ago. Some anon found the site plus identified a compound with military vehicles in it that matched the ones we saw in the vid. It might just be a coincidence, the vehicles thing, but it could also be that they were in the same place when the satelite pics were taken.

this problem is difficult. the one in idlib was solved in less than an hour.

keep looking. don't lose hope. it must be here.
