Hello friends! I really need a few of these pages translated from Japanese into English. I tried to make these, but realized I don't know how to put them together because I don't understand the words... I would be super grateful for a translation! You could learn how to make this also )
I'm most interested in making the model on page 3 which takes 12 units. The book is "Modular Origami 2" by Tomoko Fuse, the legend herself.
Thanks if someone helps! :D

That's the usual way to lock modular units - point in pocket.
What is your problem exactly?

My problem is that there seems to be 2 different types of modular units. One that is folded left in step 1 and another that is folded right. Also, when I fold the units and attempt to lock them together, I can't seem to make them into the shapes of the models, except the tetrahedron.

It's in Chinese not Japanese.
Random guy from /pol/ here swinging by checking for "oops not /pol/" posts, I'll give it a go
>top line: the three horned combinations - the 4, 8, and 20 forms
>block: this is a revised version of an old technique, with step 5 improved a bit so that it's more clear. When combining the 4 and 8 forms, use (inverse fold? Not sure.)
>5: Make sure to crease the locking portion of the fold really well
>do the same thing at both portions
For the second pic, 正 means one direction, 逆 means the opposite direction. Bottom right finished thing is form 4. It looks like the second pic is the old version while the first is the revised version, the same thing.
Third pic, 个 means "of them", so 4 triangles, 8 triangles, 6 squares. 张组合 just means "finished product, displayed".
Doesn't seem to help much honestly. But there you go. Don't come to /pol/.
