Do any of you use a Midori everyday? I just downloaded some printables from Taroko Shop. What paper do you guys recommend using if OP uses a fountain pen?

Tomoe River paper, while thin it is surprisingly wonderful to write on and it won't bleed. I don't know how far you want to go, like if you'd cut paper out of journals like Clairfontaine or Rhodia to make your refills.
I don't use Midori everyday, but my workplace sells it. Get a lot of Midori customers and admirers checking them out, it's a trendy journal since it's very customizable to your use.
Otherwise, it would be easier if you bought the Midori traveller's refills, there are so many...
this looks pretty rad. is Midori just the style? I looked it up and I find a specific brand "Traveler's Company" and they're super pricey but the leather is top notch. but amazon and other retailers seem to have similar if not identical products for less(much less). I'm just wondering if there's some characterized differences or some brands beat others. this may well be my next notebook purchase. I've wanted to get a Moleskine for some time, but this is much more practical and aesthetically pleasing.

Yep, "Traveler's Company" is the same as the Midori Traveler's notebook, it was rebranded but still the same style and good qualities. There are "fauxdori" (aka knock-offs) and some people make their own covers to use the Midori inserts, especially those who aren't fond of leather.
>Moleskine
Honestly for a better quality for lesser dollars, I recommend Leuchtturm1917. No bleed pages, comes in several styles (lined/blank/grid/dot grid, soft/hard covers), and numbered pages if that's handy for you.

perhaps I'll get a fauxdori. I really love that look but man that price mark, for a square of leather.

There are some really great fauxdori tutorials on youtube, they can be easy to make you usually need eleastic cording found at most craft stores or places that sell beads for jewelry making. Fabric, laminted paper, leather. They are super fun to make cheaply. You could probably even use faux leather if leather isn't an option.
